Hmmm, I wonder if thats enough to void your contract later when you sober up.

Anyone know how their sales are doing? Hollywood is getting so high class these days.

SoBe, I believe the law states that getting hammered on screwdrivers is no defense against getting nailed on your contract.

Greenberg Traurig Completes $220M Financing Deal for Trump Hollywood Project

HOLLYWOOD, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 04, 2007 -- The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced today that it has finalized The Related Group's acquisition of the property earmarked for the development of Trump Hollywood, a 200-unit luxury condo tower on the beach in Hollywood. The $226.5 million construction loan was secured by Greenberg Traurig from Lehman Bros., Inc.

The 40-story, contemporary tower will front 240 feet of pristine beachline and feature bedroom units ranging in size from 2,070 square feet to more than 4,350 square feet of living space and expansive terraces. Penthouse residences will offer more than 7,000 feet. Construction is expected to take approximately 30 months.

"The planning, hard work, and dedication of all the parties involved has given this project a bright future," said Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Joel K. Goldman, who served as primary attorney for The Related Group along with Greenberg Traurig Associate Kimberly S. LeCompte. "Trump Hollywood is poised for great success."

Trump always "improves" his projects by putting his name in HUGE letters somewhere, so I wouldn't worry. It's very classy.

He's putting up a 50-story condo within a stone's throw of me here in Philly, too. I expect the TRUMP name to be beamed into my bedroom window. Can't wait...

Is Trump developing this building, or just lending his name? For some of his buildings, he just lends the name "Trump" for millions which spike sales prices to the actual "at risk" developer.

Word is Trump had to pay $1,000,000 each to the adjacent condos to get their support. I'm sure your condo's association reserve is really large right now, or you're getting some nice renovations.

$227M Moves Trump Hollywood to '09 Finish
By Natalie Keith

HOLLYWOOD, FL-The 200-unit Trump Hollywood condominium project on South Ocean Drive has received a $226.5-million construction loan from Lehman Brothers. With the loan, the project is on schedule to be completed summer 2009.

The project, a joint venture between Donald Trump and the Related Group’s Jorge Perez, is being designed by architect Robert Swedroe with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg.

“Lehman Brothers was selected from an elite group of lenders to finance Trump Hollywood because of its financial strength, market expertise and longstanding relationship with the Related Group,” says the Related Group COO Matt Allen. “Lehman Brothers is one of the few lenders in the market today with the ability to fully underwrite this deal and close within the required time frame.”

Allen tells GlobeSt.com that foundation work for the project has just started. Of the 200 units, 115 have been sold. “In this market, it’s a little tougher to get financing,” Allen says. “We have a relationship with Lehman that dates back, so this worked out well for us.”

I think he built in Sunny Isles instead because there was a lot of anti-development sentiment on Miami Beach at the end of the 90s. I think he wanted to tie up a few loose ends on Sunny Isles Beach and in Chicago before starting on Miami.

Or they don't need his name in Miami Beach to sell. ??? Not sure why, just speculating.

Just speculating here too. He could already be in South Beach and here in Miami. Somebody here clued me in on his plans for Miami in a private message, so I can't repeat it. I'll just repeat myself as I often do, which is there are a few projects that we think are dead that are not really dead.
