So most tourists when they visit the Hollywood neighborhood of LA strictly stick to Hollywood Blvd. That's fine and good, but I met with some fellow SSP forumers and they showed me parts of Hollywood I didn't know existed! Feast your eyes on Hollywood, North of the Blvd.

On the way to Hollywood I pass by a beauty in Beverly Hills.

The Magic Castle, North of Hollywood & Highland. POLA said that this is where magicians go to share secrets. You have to have a password to get in.

Then, we happen upon a secluded neighborhood, Hightower. The residents literally take an elevator up the tower pictured below to access their homes. We took the tough route... the stairs.

wow! I think LA always surprises people. Unlike the beauty to the north of it (SF) or south (SD) LA seriously surprised me, especially neighbourhoods such as the ones in the hills. WOW

OMG that looks like Sydney North shore and Northern Beaches (the houses)

That is EXACTLY what the North shore in Sydney looks like! Literally nothing different. Big houses in the hills. Especially Palm Beach.

They are really good shots. However I prefer OPEN houses rather than in the hills like the ones on Sunset BLVD and Beverly Hills. Dont like that version, it reminds me too much of SYD, i dont like the north shore.

That's just classic LA. Double decker strip mall and a drop top Ferrari. Gotta love it.

Great pics.

This is how LA threads should be. Most forumers post the same old pics of freeways, LA skyline, South Central LA/ghettos or wide, commercial thoroughfares like Santa Monica lined with strip malls. There are tons of nice neighborhoods around LA where they don't venture into to show the better side of the city.

I noticed the same thing as well. It also looks quite similar to parts of Mosman, Cremorne and thr surrounding areas, with the e tight staircases and haphazard roads

Beautiful!!

I love LA!

I can't put my finger on it, but something about Los ******* reminds me SO much of Australian suburbia. If Australia's "big five" cities were ever mashed togeather in big sweeping plains like the LA Basin, it would take the form of Los *******!

LA is like candy! I think the Hollywood Hills look like a lot of california cities. Some of the pics would have you think you were somewhere in the Med.
