Cullwulla, Melbourne is more *** **** than what Sydney will ever be. Don't forget, density is acheivable and when the next cycle goes round Melbourne will begin to feel more dense than what is already is. Cullwulla, Melbourne is more *** **** than what Sydney will ever be. Don't forget, density is acheivable and when the next cycle goes round Melbourne will begin to feel more dense than what is already is. Yes, Sydney is bigger than Melbourne by roughly 15-20%. Not that much bigger. :)

I see SYD as more of a mix of San Fransisco, NY and Boston with a substropical climate. Structurally it is nothing like LAX.
MEL is more of a Toronto & Monteal mixed into one (again with a far milder climate).
BNE if you include the Gold Coast is indeed a kind of anglosaxon version of Miami / For Lauderdale.

As for AKL. Once again I see little resemblence to LAX. More like a Vancouver / New Orleans mix. Despite all the road talk in AKL, AKL has nothing like LAX has or even San Diego or Pheonix for that matter. For US standards AKL has less than an average amount of freeways and the general road system is more like a N.East American city than Southern California.

Perth in my opinion comes far closer to LAX than any other city in Oceania. Even then its a bit of an exaduration. Lets say....the San Diego of the south

Believe me - it' not flat at all! I think you would like it a bit to much as well. The weather is more stable and warm/hot - just what you like. It's much more like SA than NZ.

I'm completely the opposite - I love the change of seasons. What do i wear? Warmer clothes, nothing like rugging up. I wish AK had more chilly winter days. At least its a short drive to the volcanic plateau.
