A.U.S. arch. Student April 2nd, 2007, 11:42 AM ^^ wow wht an amazing shot malec, all these updates are great, thanks! I was just thinking about the crescent and its projects because if the palm is to be fully completed by 2010 the construction of the hotels on the crescent should really begin sometime this year. this is good news:) and those villas look fantastic!
malec April 2nd, 2007, 11:52 AM The picture was taken by Brian McMorrow who often takes arials like this.
DUBAI April 2nd, 2007, 02:38 PM Design looks a little boring...
dubaiflo April 3rd, 2007, 10:07 AM we heard of the al fattan hotel a while ago
Clément April 8th, 2007, 10:00 PM It looks good in my opinion. At least some more modern buildings on Palm Jumeirah, after the fantastic Trump Tower. Pics are coming from the site of Al Fattan.

BinDubai April 23rd, 2007, 12:15 PM looks like a 3 star hotel to me .... it needs redesigening or atleast a better render
Dubai-Lover April 25th, 2007, 06:04 PM there is lots of machinery on the site
i guess they are doing the piling and excavation these days
AltinD April 28th, 2007, 02:31 AM This is called 'The Jumeirah Al Fattan Resort" according to a nespaper article.
Croat April 28th, 2007, 10:08 PM Design looks a little boring...
What did you espect for Palm's end?
The most beautiful buildings have to be at axis, like Trump hotel or Atlantis.
Design must be fit with surround , so it's ok.
dubaiflo April 29th, 2007, 10:45 PM ^^ in fact i think the tip of the crescent should also have a great design, preferably similar on both sides of the palm.
Julito-dubai May 1st, 2007, 09:18 PM http://img474.imageshack.us/img474/1551/alfattanmu3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
zee May 6th, 2007, 01:55 AM this is a good design...nothing spectacular though. i wont be surprised to see a redesign of this even though construction has started
Croat May 7th, 2007, 03:35 AM ^^ in fact i think the tip of the crescent should also have a great design, preferably similar on both sides of the palm.
Maybe just similar height, but not design, coz it's silly: distance is almost 4 km.

Sungwon ties up with Al Fattan Properties
Staff Report
Dubai: South Korean property developer and construction company Sungwon Corporation has formed a strategic alliance to increase Dubai-based Al Fattan Properties' exposure in the Korean market.
Sungwon signed a memorandum of understanding with Al Fattan Properties yesterday to market and sell the Dubai-based company's Dh900 million Jumeirah Al Fattan Palm Resort resort project on the Palm Jumeirah and the Dh950 million mixed-use Al Fattan Currency House in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
Sungwon, which has launched two projects in Dubai so far, says it will use its network of sales channels to target high net worth business people, investors and individual buyers.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"We are happy to take this major step in South Korea as part of our efforts to enhance the visibility of our projects in international markets," said Major General Musabbeh Rashid Al Fattan, chairman of Al Fattan Properties.
joobn May 30th, 2007, 09:48 AM hmm... 11 mil is expensive. i would not advise it as even i, as an avid person on the contruction in dubai, believe the bubble will burst in aroun 2011. The prices are astronomical. however if you do buy, but decide to buy 2 months from now, i can guarantee that the prices will RISE. its the dubai way :(

Not my cup of tea really as a hotel and pretty far away from everything. It's ok if you come to the Palm as a destination and being in Dubai is less important.
