hey not bad... better than the concrete that lines a large portion of the waterfront. Also.. grass! That's a rare sight in urban HK.

Nice!!
Isn't that the Hung Hing Road Cargo Handling Basin??
When did it get turned into a promenade??

So many dogs... but looks nice, has a boardwalk feel to it.

But what I read within the HKiTalk (http://hkitalk.net) is that, this promenade would only last for several years for the reclamation and the Highway constructions, also, the current Wan Chai Star Ferry Pier would be pulled down.

True and False.

The original Wan Chai Reclamation Phase II project is to fill the area bewteen Convention and Exihibation Center and Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter. At grade it is proposed to be another harbour front park like the one in Central side; the proposed Central-Wan Chai Bypass extension to Eastern Corridor and proposed MTR North Island Line will go underground there.

However, The Protection of the Harbour Ordinance rejected the very first proposal of this project and the whole still under reivew by the Civil Engineering department.

So the reclamation may happen and may not happen in the near future.

Personally, I would like it to happen to have more parks, full lenght shoreline promenade, as well as better infrastructure.
