Great photo slinker, I've never seen anything like it. Also what a good competition, the winning photo only won by 1 vote!

Thanks everyone! *accepts trophy and sprays the champagne on Gothicform*
Actually I felt that using a panorama was cheating a bit... much harder to capture an interesting shot in one frame.

I took some other photos that morning, including this from nearby:

This was taken from the other end of the Gold Coast (northern end):

Great pic! I love the effect that the scrolling had on my senses. First the image appears as a simple "man on beach" photo.. but as I scroll right, I get this adrenaline rush!! That is what a photo should do!!!

Slinker, fantastic pictures!!!

You should post them in the Australian forum, they are great!
Did you take them yourself?

I had no idea the Gold Coast's skyline was so big. Question, is that the city the was the fictional Porpoise Spit in Muriel's Wedding?

Whoever or whatever I am, yeah I took the photos with my new toy, a 5 megapixel Canon S50 digicam. Small enough to go in your pocket, but 3x zoom is a bit weak.
