One of the most beautiful songs I heard in a very long time. I discovered this band only recently but their music is beyond beautiful. They're named Orphaned Land, mixing western music with Israeli and Arab influences and often religiously inspired lyrics spreading a message of peace. i recall once, me and my dad were in Montreal, Quebec...

I heard some contemporary Israeli music while I was celebrating Yom Hatzmahut with Dor Chadash over at a place in lower Manhattan known as the Capitale. There were some ups and downs to it. I am not a big fan of traditional music being a secular Jew. Then again, I don't hear a lot of Israeli music since I live in the US.
