Who is Syd Mead?

Syd Mead (born July 18, 1933 in St. Paul, MN) is an industrial designer best known for his vehicle designs in science-fiction films such as Blade Runner, Aliens, and Tron. In much of his film work, he is billed as a "visual futurist" or "conceptual designer".

it was in the alraya news paper too but i dont think its really a master plan or a vision its just an advertising for qatar steel its writen on one of the towers in the picture and also alot about it in the news paper

they only thing i know in the picture is the sheraton hotel an the cornesh thats it !!! are thouse floting sport fields ???

Very impressive, nice vision although it looks like Doha is colonized by the aliens and their flying vessels in 2050 :lol:

And then there is the Sheraton hotel looking all old!!

guys, don't you think thats too superficial a display.....the picture doesn't seem to look great, because the skyscrapers are shown in distant reach to each other, contrary to the current scenario in Doha!
