Edit februari 4, 2009: the diagram.
Instructions: Print on photographic paper to give it a glassy effect. Use a black marker pen to color the white edges of the paper and use the strips to glue it all together. The fifth part should go on top of the fourth. Good luck.

TheNightfly February 5th, 2009, 08:44 PM Well done! That looks really nice and it appears very tall. What's the height? My version is about 12.5cm/4.9inch.
Appreciation Station February 5th, 2009, 10:46 PM Thanks Night Fly :) It's around 24.5 cm approx, but printed to scale :) It's very reflective too :)

thank you :) i didnt know things like this existed. its been my obsession ever since. i like nightflys models alot. he inspired me to make models in high detail too.
after doing ALOT of research on how to make models at 1700, i started making some. right now im working on 60 wall street. im making it with very fine details. im on the hunt for the woeld financial center as well. a very nice one. theres actaully one on here thats very well designed and resembles the real thing nicely but isnt accurate so im looking for one with very accurate window design and color.
i want to make some of the other illustrators' models as well but some of them have crooked lines or the ends dont match up well so im working on their constructions. im hoping to seeing more models out there soon.
lions_215 October 25th, 2010, 01:47 PM hey welcome good to see someone else from AZ lol
making high quality models is hard but the end results is good when achieved
hope you stick around some more in our little community
skyscraperlover9595 October 25th, 2010, 04:16 PM Oh boy, 60 Wall Street, I made it already, but you can give it a shot
wrebbitrocks October 29th, 2010, 02:03 PM @lions: i noticed you were from az too when i was skimming the board. thx for the welcome. its really time consuming i know but i work on it piece at a time when i have time from work and school as ive seen is everyones case here.
@ssl (can i call you guys by short names? sorry i dont wanna be disrespectful): cool. do you have any links to the diagram? actually im spending alot of time on the setbacks because theres several of them. im going to start 70 pine soon since everyone seems to shy away from the setback. :)
skyscraperlover9595 October 29th, 2010, 04:50 PM Go to my website, and it is listed under models at 1:1700 scale
wrebbitrocks October 30th, 2010, 02:33 PM thats a good model. mines is almost the same but with all the setbacks
skyscraperlover9595 October 30th, 2010, 05:39 PM Thanks! Please make your own model thread. We don't want want another random thread
lions_215 October 30th, 2010, 06:23 PM :):)That would be great to see
