Edit may 24th, 2009:The Diagrams. Speaks for itself really. Print on photographic paper, cut out and use the strips to glue it all together so you don't have to fold.

Thank you. I make the textures myself. First I collect lots of useful pictures from flickr and webshots and then I use perspective correction to make the facades straight. After that I retouch the pictures so the windows are all straight lines and at equal distance.

This particular building is an example where the windows are all different. The easiest buildings are the ones where the windows all look the same, like Citigroup or Bear Stearns. In those cases I paint the windows myself instead of "sampling" them from a picture.

By the way, I finished my new Chrysler Building, but my camera broke down. Right now I´m working on a new PanAm and the 3 World Financial Center. I'll post those as soon as I have a new camera.

Love this, I want to see pictures of them altogether, how exciting.........Does my enthusiasm make me sad? People think I'm like a trainspotter until they see my own model..........then they change their minds.................

OK, that's pretty cool, 520 Madison Ave. was the first building I ever worked on back in 1981. About half of the trusses holding the red Georgia granite facade were made by my hands.

520 is the first building ever made where the facade trusses were part of the structure.

That's a very interesting story, Zensteeldude. You must be very proud whenever you see a building you worked on. The 520 Madison is very underrated, I like it a lot.

ChicagoFreak96,

You're pushing your luck again........................:bash::bash::bash::bash::bash:

For your information, i would consider the weekend to run from 00:00 Saturday morning to midnight Sunday evening. Give Nightfly (and others) a chance!

Apologies Nightfly for being slightly offtopic with the next bit.

ChicagoFreak96, while we're talking about waiting for models, can you give us a precise day and time (to the minute) when you will release your Smurfit Stone model? "Today or tommorow" isn't really good enough.

I'll be DEMANDING it from you if you fail to deliver it exactly on time.:lol:

Stop demanding me to release my Smurfit-Stone Building model!
I'll release it tonight! Oh and are demanding me to release my models because I'm demanding other people to release their models? If you are, please stop!
