Do israelis play rugby or do they consider it a dirty sport.Why do you prefer football?Is rugby too dangerous or country too small?

Im sure other people here know more about it than I do, but I think Israelis(mostly from South Africa) do play rugby....... but its probably in its development stages in Israel.

Football is an international sport. We have to like it...

basketball is also big....
Israelis are lucky because they have alot of jews from many parts of the world. Recently they came from N. America and in some cases S. America. That place is famous for baseball and now someplaces are getting baseball diamonds to play in...

Rugby is a very difficult and confusing sport. Much less like Cricket.... but there is a following in Israel for it. Not a big one, but a small local pick up type game... English, French, South African and American play it.
I used to play rugby, but found the game a little bit too rough and too boring, although playing with the ladies is always a face ;)

theres small university clubs of people from rugby-countries who play, but not more than that

there is an Israeli Rugby Union and arugby league and tourniers.

Baseball is important just in USA, some central america nations and Japan... I'm from Argentina and the most important sports are football, tennis, basketball, hockey and rugby...
