The Secretary for Transport and Public Works announced a series of municipal development projects during his visit to Taipa and Coloane yesterday afternoon (17 April).
Lao Si Io (劉仕堯) announced that the Government will build a central park at the New Taipa Centre neighbourhood, and 3,000 public housing units at plot TN27 near the entrance of the Ponte da Amizade.
Meanwhile, road networks connecting the Macau University and Science and Technology and Macau Dome, as well as Grand Waldo Hotel and Luen Sang Industrial Park, will be opened soon.
The centre of Taipa town will be pedestrianised, to become what it was claimed to be a "themed park", and a park will also be built at the former Iek Long Firecrackers Factory site.
Lao also met responsibles of the neighbourhood associations, and was accompanied by public works and housing officials.
