Hi there..
I have flight to USA (Warsaw --> London --> Philly). I arrive at London Heathtow Terminal 1, and depart at Terminal 4 - have 2 hours and 30 minutes for that. Is it easy to move from terminal 1 to 4 ?

yes, follow the signs to the heathrow express and get the train to terminal 4, it's free, quick and frequent.

You'll also have the pleasure of taking the only half decent train service that runs within the UK.

I assume your luggage will be checked in Warsaw --> Philly. If so, not reason to leave the airbound airport. Only when you leave the airbound airport, you can take the Heathrow Express. But this means you need to pass through immigration and customs in T1 and that you need to pass through the metal detectors again in T4. This adds at least 30 mins to your transit.
If you want to go have a normal trasit, you go to the Transit centre in T1 from where you are taken by coach through a tunnel under the airfield to T4. 2.30 hrs for a transit is more than sufficient, but I would not hang around in T1, shopping and facilities are better in T4.

Yes, use JGG's option. You don't want to have to go through immigration, it will only kill time and you may miss your on-going flight. Stay in the transit area's and use the coach. If you have problems finding the coach, just ask any BA staff inside.
@Boards. You must really be unlucky with UK trains, as I have no problems when I travel there from Germany. I find the rail network to be very good in the UK.

Really you think our intercity service is good? The West Coast Mainline chugs along at an average of about 80mph. The trains are badly over-crowded too. We need a TGV or ICE style service, I was just saying the Heathrow Express is the only train service that runs entirely with the UK that is comparable to TGV or ICE.

ICE's can be terribly overcrowded as well, often standing room only. They are also often late. I do like the design of the ICE3's, but the older ones are no better then the average West Coast Mainline, and those older ones are not much faster either.

Want to swap? Can we have some of your motorway network too please?
