Does anybody know how many projects going up will have a rooftop deck with a bar or whatever? I ask this question because I am an aspiring blues guitarist and the only plays of that sort can be found near the beaches, where live music is supplied almost every night at many beachside bars.

I think Novare's Channelside project is supposed to have a rooftop restaurant. Other than that, all I can think of is Fly. Though their live music is downstairs.

Rooftop bars are not a good idea if there are residences nearby. Too loud! Only place they could work is on the beach of there are no homes around.

^ It would work well with office towers since they are empty at night (tons of parking and you can make lots of noise). I guess the Tampa Club figured that out a while ago, although it's not exactly a rooftop.

There is also the University Club on the top floor of Tampa City Center. The only other upper floor bar, that may want a Blues guitarist would be CK's at the airport.
If you're looking for rooftop you will pretty much be confined to 2-4 story club buildings in Ybor or like Fly with open roofs. And I don't know how many of those clubs would be looking for Blues.
