Indeed, the Laraki fulgura first came out at the 2002 Geneva Auto Show with everyone thinking it's italian. Major improvements have been made since then with the target of having most of the car built with moroccan components.

also there are many cars , buses assembled in morocco . the renault logan which is assembled locally will reach soon 75% of parts manufactured locally, plus almost 50% of cars sold in Morocco are assembled locally and some are exported to neighbooring countries

Fulgura - Laraki

The Laraki Fulgura was the company's first attempt at a sportscar. Originally unveiled as a concept at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show, the production version debuted a year later at the same show. A slightly redesigned version of the bodywork was unveiled in 2005.

Based on the frame and mechanicals of a Lamborghini Diablo, the Fulgura receives a quad-turbo Mercedes-Benz 6.0L V12 producing 680hp, attached to a 6-speed manual transmission. A new aerodynamic carbon fibre body is also added. This brings the Fulgura to an estimated price of $555,750.

Performance for the Fulgura is an estimated top speed of 217mph (350km/h) and acceleration of 0 - 60mph in 4.5 seconds.

Borac

The Laraki Borac is the company's second model, and debuted as a concept at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. The car is planned for production, although a final design has yet to be unveiled.

The design of the Borac is that of a grand tourer, with a front engine layout and even the possibility of two (albeit small) rear seats. The Borac is not based off of an existing design, unlike the Fulgura.

A Mercedes-Benz 6.0L V12 powers the Borac as well, although it lacks the turbocharging of the Fulgura. This leads to an output of 540hp, producing a top speed of 193mph (310km/h) and acceleration from 0 - 60mph in 4.5 seconds.

The Fulgura is really nice.. but the one thing that reallly puts me off it is the giant wing mirrors.. of course they are that big to see over the giant rear wheel arch but they just look a bit odd..

Laraki simply means Aliraqi which means in English the Iraqi.It's a very rich Moroccan family that lives in Casablanca.

Not technically a Moroccan car but assembled in Morocco by Moroccan company Somaca. Somaca used to assemble Fiat Uno, Palio and Siena before Renault increased its share in Somaca to 54% in 2005 to make it assemble its Dacia Logan. The Dacia Logan is a low cost car manufactured jointly by Renault and Dacia and marketed for countries where Renault is popular (mainly eastern Europen)

Plus de nouvelles, ils ont arrêtés de se présenter dans les alson dpeuis 2005, le site n'est plus mis à jour depuis 2005, on n'a plus d'infos... J'ai écris un beau mail sur l'adresse donnée par leur site, du siege de casa et ils n'ont jamais eu l'aimabilité de me répondre... Je crois que l'entreprise est morte et qu'il a laissé tomber car pas assez rentable et il fallait beaucoup d'argent pour invesstir sans certitudes !

Rien de nouveau sous le soleil. çe serait vraiment dommage que cette aventure prenne fin; çà nous a fait vraiment rever! en tout cas on peut se vanter d'avoir eté le premier pays de tout l'emisphere sud a avoir conçu et fabriqué une supercar, des pays aussi importants que le canada, l'espagne, l'inde ou la chine n'en ont jamais fabriqué et si elle existe en modeles reduits, en wallpapers et en t-shirts c'est qu'elle est bien entrée dans l'histoire.

Par contre on a une autre marque plus ancienne mais aussi plus discrete et celle là je crois qu elle existe toujours.

Des nouvelles de Laraki, non seulement il n'a pas mis la clé sous la porte mais il compte se développer et poursuivre son aventure à Dubai. J'ai pas eu le tps de tout lire mais apparement il compte ouvrir une unité à Dubai. C'est plus cohérent avec le positionnement de la marque. Tant mieux si ça permet à la marque d'exister et de se développer, mais j'espère que ça ne se fera pas au détriment de l'usine de Ain Sebaa à Casa..

Apparement, Laraki automobile SA a fait appel à un cabinet conseil à Londre spécialisé dans l'industrie automobile pour mettre en place une stratégie de développement de la firme marocaine.

C'est le cabinet d'architecture en charge de l'unité Laraki à Dubai, à côté du Dubai Autodrome (la dernière image)

J'étais aussi optimiste que toi quand j'ai trouvé ces documents mais vu leur date, et ce qu'ils disent je me fais pas d'illusion...
Le cabinet qui s'occupe du design n'a pas changé son site depuis 2006 date où l'on a plus eu de nouvelles... si on avait eu du pétrole on aurait pu continuer l'aventure mais là, peu d'espoir !

Mais non mais non enfin... C'est pas parce que ça date d'il y a deux ans que ça veut dire que c'est mort. Au contraire ça veut dire que ça bosse. On parle pas d'une chocolaterie mais bien d'un constructeur automobile. Et il faut du temps pour que ça se mette en place. Et quand je vois la stratégie du groupe ça me parraît très sérieu et très cohérent, d'autant plus que Laraki peut surement compter sur des partenaires locaux vu le réseau dont il doit bénéficier. Je suis sûr que c'est en bonne voie mais comme toujours on est trop pressé, ça se comprend..

Il ne faut pas non plus croire au pére noël... je veux bien qu'ils bossent mais rester 3ans sans nouvelles, c'est improbable à quoi ça sert de travailler dans le plus grand secret ?
Le but c'est pas de dévoiler des infos pour susciter l'intérêt, l'envie et la passion ?

Deuxièment, je me répète mais c'est un constructeur automobile, ça prend du temps tout ça. Et je vois pas sur quoi ils devraient communiquer si pour l'instant ils sont en pleine structuration.. je suis persuadé que le jour où tout sera prêt on en entendra parler de plus belle. Et le choix de Dubai n'est pas anodin, non seulement il y a la clientèle mais il y a surtout une envie de soutenir la première marque de voitures arabe... et quelles voitures!

Apparement t'as pas remarqué que le coup du père noel c'était juste une boutade... En tout cas je tenais à saluer ta modestie et désolé de m'être maladroitement permis de remettre en cause toutes tes qualités de marketeur et d'économiste hors pair. Sans vouloir manquer une nouvelle fois de respect à son excellence, j'aimerai juste préciser que tant qu'il n'y a pas d'assises et que les fondements de la société sont en pleine structuration comme c'est le cas (création de la société Emirates Automotives de Laraki et construction d'une unité industrielle à Dubai), l'application d'une stratégie de communication n'a aucun sens. En effet communiquer sur un produit que l'on ne peut pour l'instant pas vendre n'a aucun sens surtout quand ce dernier, qui est en l'occurence une supercar, connaît une conccurence de la part de marques legitiment et historiquement établies et dont la force de frappe est tout autre (Ferrari, Porsche et j'en passe). N'oublions pas qu'il ne s'agit pas de Lamorghini (malgré la ressemblance) mais d'une société née de l'initiative d'un passionné, les considérations et modalités ne sont donc fatalement pas les mêmes.

Par ailleurs ça fait apparement deux ans qu'il s'est associé à ce cabinet et non 4.

Enfin, je ne suis pas obsédé par Laraki au point d'être persuadé que son aventure aboutira favorablement ou au contraire qu'elle échouera ineluctablement. J'essaie surtout d'être réfléchi, et d'attendre pour voir sans verser dans la déception sans fondement.

Pour finir (il était temps), je me permet de te demander une chose slaoui et ce sera mon dernier échange avec toi (enfin j'espère) : d'une part ne juge pas les gens sans savoir qui ils sont - parce que peut être que certains ont étudié le commerce et le marketing qui n'a apparement plus aucun secret pour toi - , d'autre part reste dans le sujet et n'utilise pas des termes pour leur raisonnance mais plutôt pour leur sens (je ne suis pas extrêmiste et mon patriotisme n'a rien à voir là dedans, d'ailleurs patriote n'est pas un gros mot)

Cela dit je suis sûr que tu dois être un type sympa.

Je ne répondrais donc pas à cette provocation, simplement tout le monde il est beau et d'ici la fin du mois certains rouleront dans une Laraki et ils auront même l'occasion de la prêter au père noël ;)

Hola, I am curious to know whether the wave of sustainable transport has reached Morocco and whether Morocco produces:
- trains and rail equipment
- electric, solar and other sustainable means of road transport.
As Morocco has a very sunny climate and lots of land not usable for agriculture (desert and semi-desert), it should make sense to develop solar energy and also solar powered cars. In Holland some universities develop experimental solar cars and every year there is a big solar car race in Australia.

j'ai lu qu'il devait ouvrir là-bas toujours, un showroom pour ses voitures et que des saouds allait participer au projet... depuis 1 an plus rien, on ne s'interesse plus à lui dans la presse nationale et on a même pas un site web sur sa boite de yacht dubaiote !
