Dear Buffalo photo shooters.

I need some pictures for a Buffalo Rising piece. I am planning it for the online version but it might even work for the print version. Either way you get fame (but no fortune) if you can help out.

I want to do a piece that shows the wealth of great sights and natural beauty surrounding Buffalo I need you all to take pictures of:

I wouldn't exactly call Toronto a thing of beauty or a great sight near Buffalo. :)

Conesus Lake is the closest Finger Lake to Buffalo. It's about 80 miles and a little over an hour's drive from Buffalo City Hall. Unlike Canandaigua though, there ain't much to do there.

thats a lot of driving at 3.00$ per gallon...might wanna see if BRO/BRM can start shooting the photographers some checks, its one thing if the photos are already taken and are just waiting for a project.

I'm sure that many of these shots are already taken...getting the attention of the shooters that have them...I dunno.

I have shots of Letchworth and Niagara Falls...I'll upload them to Zenfolio and shoot you an Email in a day or two.

Well I will talk to them. They are currently a very small but growing operation. I don't control the place I just try to think up interesting content. You do get 75,000 people's eyes on your pictures (print)as some consolation. I can make sure your web site is published too. Anyway, these are all great places to go so if you need a day trip take your camera. Too many WNYer's don't know what they have in their backyard.

W. You should start planning a photo essay book on the Golden Horseshoe / Niagara Region. You photos are stunning. If you do don't make it look like Niagara Falls belongs to Toronto . It belongs to Buffalo :)

I have considerd this and am seriously planning to release a book, hoping to find a good publisher soon.

I uploaded and resized my pictures from Fort Erie from a couple Summers ago. I was at the old fort at around Labor Day weekend that time, so they were having the Celtic Festival and Highland Games at the time. Actually, that's the reason I went there in the first place. Pictures from the Celtic Festival and of the parkland around the fort are included.
