The local government has relaunched the project last week. But in a shorter version, just over 70 floors. This is the newest image, no further info yet.

They should have gone with the first design. I do not know why they changed this good design for a worser design (second pic) and why was it on hold???

Wow the SOM design is exceptional. Similar to the San Francisco SOM design. I want so much the SOM SF design built in LA!!!! Near the union station on alameda (I think) hehehe integrate the SOM tower into union station!!! I like Wuxi's skyline, the tower in the background with a cone on top looks cool!

As far as I know, Taihu Guangchang was generic name of the concept project before being acquired by The Wharf.
