Thanks to all.. mods, admins, who worked for this new forum and those have provided endless support to obtain it. I'm absolutely delighted... now we dont have to jump around asian forum anymore... we got our home. Yaaaaay :)

Post count currently increasing by 100 per day. Great start. Lets keep it up and keep on improving.

Is it my imagination? I see the number of visitors to Bangladeshi threads has gone condirebly higher ever since we got our own subforum. From my analysis, they are not all registered members... just visiting.

The Admin has asked Tmac whether he would like to be moderator. Congrats to Tmac; he deserves it! Of course it is never good to count chickens before they hatch, but we have reason to be optimistic...looks like our patience has finally paid off! Threads can be moved to their proper locations, duplicate threads can be deleted, and the subforum in general can function more smoothly.

Yup I am sure Tmac will be appointed mod soon enough. I have been in regular contact with the Rafflescity over the past week and he seems very supportive about it. The reason we had to wait was sadly they just didn't realize the situation here in our forum and didn't think we needed our own mod. Anyways congrats Tmac, you definitely earned it.

Yup - good news. We need one. I felt stupid when I created a thread in the wrong place.

thanks guys. It will be a collective effort. I am sure I will be asking all of you guys for help/suggestions. Let's make this a great place for Bangladeshis and non-Bangladeshis to visit and learn about our country. We should always try to be sensitive and use our judgement before posting any comments about anyone or any countries. It has been a great sucess so far. We have a great group of people participating here regularly. Let's hope we can get more Bangladeshis to participate. If I do become the mod, let me assure you I will try my best to make this place even better than it is now. Good luck to us all. I can't express enough gratitude to Tanzirian, Zaki and Mirzazeehan for getting us this far and also giving me the vote of confidence to be a mod here. Thanks to all.

Tmac could get into trouble with the current anti-corruption drive. A bunch of folks have been arrested for having wealth disproportionate to income. I think we are all in agreement that it is not possible for one man to have time to find all these photos...so he must hiring a lot of people to do this for him. Where does he get all the money needed to hire so many people? Such secrets could be trouble for a prospective mayor...
