I have lived in Sydney for a few years now. We Sydneysiders are often accused by other Australians as being rude, selfish, selfcentered, arrogant and any nasty description under the sun. I often beg to differ especially when I visit a much smaller city with a far easy going life style. Although most Canberrians are probably quite friendly, a number of years ago a friend warned me of their snobish behaviour towards strangers. When visiting recently with my sister she told me of the car park rage incident she had the last time she visited Canberrra. Funny thing is the same thing happened again. This time we had grabbed a car park for another family member to park in. A young female driver became quite irrate because she had spent ten minutes trying to get a car park. She slammed her foot on the accellerator and not only almost ran my self and my sister over but a couple of other people as well. She took the parking spot and walked off with a huff while my sister said "Calm down lovey, don't get your self all worked up" . My sister than turned to me and said "My God, its all car park rage down here."
Does any one know of any cities where the life style should be easy going but the people can be quite rude and impatient? Quite often due to increased population that has seen situations like available car parking spaces dwindle.
