Yeah, I like Antananarivo also. It has it's own character. It does look calm and relaxing at some locations and more vibrant at others.

Wow! The city itself doesnt have an impressive architechture, but it as an exotic taste that is quite inviting, I like the lake in the center of town and the football pitches. Thats a place to go in the next 2 years (after going to Bata, whatta surprise!)

Antanarivo should be one of africa's most popular places.

The racial mixture of all the different population groups there is something that interests me. The people of Madagascar are a microcosm of how the people of the world will look 100 years from now.

Malagasy is one of the main languages, French is also.

WOW OMG !! I can't believe my eyes , considering Madagascar's economic data, Antananarivo seems like the capital of an Upper middle-income country ! I had the same impression when I browsed the Maseru ( Lesotho ) thread .

Definitely The most beautiful African city I've ever seen on pics. Modern yet traditional, in a terrific geographical setting, and the streets look very organized.

ThatI don't see why most most investors shy away from this country?

Mass amounts of natural beauty
. WAY lower HIV rate compared to Southern and Eastern Africa.

Almost smack dab inbetween Asia and North America.

needs a polish as some buildings look horribly ill-mantained...but the setting is truly gorgeous!

In my opinion, this city has a lot of potential, it's quite interesting as it is already, it has higher levels of density too, it's quite urban, some architectural variations also, it's natural features where the city is situated in is fantastic also. :cheers:

I can only imagine the potential of this place. an island nation right in the middle of all the important trade routes, smack dab in the middle of the Indian ocean, great scenery, massive biodiversity, and a well developed capital city like this one....

Antananarivo is one of my favorite cities in Africa, dense, orderly, quite clean. It also seems seems like it's a sea- or lakeside city, even though it's not.
