Wow, first official match at this amazing new stadium and they will be playing a continental club's final (Copa Libertadores de America). Pretty impressive! I will be rooting for Chivas. Stadium looks spectacular. Great Job! I also hope to see opening/closing ceremonies of the PanAm games take place at this venue come summer 2011. Can't wait!

Pues eso fué porque la gente se retraso a consecuencia de los pocos accesos viales, además de haber sido un día laboral en el que de por si la zona tiene bastante carga vehícular... por eso hasta el medio tiempo se pudo ver lleno el estadio!!

Either way the stadium didn't sell out. For some reason, Mexican fans don't show as much interest in Copa Libertadores as it deserves. The only teams that would sell out for a libertadores match are the Monterrey teams. To top it all off the top teams from the FMF have to participate in that joke of a CONCACAF champions league.

It seems as if Chivas could sell out a game anywhere in Mexico except Guadalajara:lol:

( entre ustedes mismos) el hecho que sea un thread "internacional" no quita que tengan que "avergonzarse" para decir de una manera de escribir en sus lenguas madres, yo no veo estadounidenses ni otras nacionalidades esforzandose por escribir en español.

GUADALAJARA, JALISCO (10/MAR/2011).- La historia del Guadalajara ahora se puede ver en cinco minutos en un museo único en el mundo, así lo aseguró el presidente de Chivas Jorge Vergara, al terminar su primer recorrido al recinto, donde estuvo acompañado por el gobernador de Jalisco, Emilio González, quien a decir de Vergara, se le quemaban las habas por regresar otro día que no hubiera cámaras para jugar en los diferentes juegos interactivos, pero sobre todo en el futbolito gigante.

“Me emociona mucho, he estado comiendo ansias durante estos meses por esta nueva aventura que se añade al Estadio Omnilife por este museo, porque no solamente se exhibirán los trofeos, las camisetas y todo lo que se vaya acumulando, porque estoy seguro, ahora que está aquí el equipo presente, que se va a combinar el ser testigos de que se le va a ganar el Clásico tapatío al Atlas”.

El dirigente rojiblanco manifestó que el museo está planeado para crecerlo dos veces su tamaño en caso de ser necesario y que espera pronto esté la decimosegunda copa en el interior. Por lo pronto espera que la afición del “Rebaño” se sienta orgullosa al ver el sitio en donde están sus trofeos, ya que es un lugar fuera de serie.

“La verdad es que de todos los espacios que conocimos (museos en todo el mundo), vimos que se quedaban cortos, porque algunos tienen la zona interactiva pero un poco atrasada; especialmente que este recinto genera mucho respeto y honor a las copas y demás. Nos inspiramos más en lo que no había, que en lo que ya existía”.

Salvador Reyes estaba fascinado recorriendo cada espacio del museo, le gustó mucho el acomodo, diseño y dijo que no esperaba algo así, porque la historia del equipo se puede admirar en pocos minutos, además hay muchos juegos interactivos para distraerse en un lugar sagrado.

“Vi todo, la verdad es que recordé muchas cosas de cuando jugué, pero qué bueno que se hizo, porque a nosotros nos tocó ver en vivo cómo se ganaron y estuve un poco en el pasado. Creo que esto es un gran acierto para que la gente de Chivas venga y se dé cuenta de cómo inició el club, al igual de la forma en la cual se adquirió la grandeza. Entre los más destacados está el futbolito gigante, donde el participante tira a u arco y hay un sensor que mide la velocidad del disparo. A un costado se encuentra una portería, en la cual aparece un círculo y el tirador tiene que acertar de manera precisa.

Para los que recuerdan perfectamente las jugadas de encuentros importantes, se escogieron varias de ellas y en una pantalla táctil, aparece una acción congelada sin balón, el aficionado tiene que señalar donde está el esférico y en cuanto se selecciona el lugar, la maquina da el acierto o el error.

Hay un juego en el cual participan cuatro personas, en la pantalla aparecen cuatro jugadores y éstos corren al grito de ¡Chivas, Chivas! y el primero en llegar al otro extremo de la cancha tira un penal, con el cual gana.

Todo el plantel del primer equipo estuvo en la inauguración, así como parte de los Campeonísimos, quienes le entregaron a Jorge Vergara la Copa del Siglo, lo cual sorprendió al dirigente rojiblanco.

el diseño me encanto, igual que todo el estadio, simple, sencillo, sobrio y a la misma vez muy moderno...
pero, por lo poco q se ve como que le faltan torfeos, me conformo con que esten los 11 de liga

I already know the ones they used in TSM, Estadio 3 de Marzo, Corregidora and Morelos (Industriasideal) but the ones in Omnilife are different and I think better but they seem a bit larger so the attendance in my project could lower and increase the cost...

what an awesome Opening ceremony!! I saw it on tv live and felt very proud of our Pan American games ... love that the Americas is getting to that level .... after Rio 2007 the Pan Am games have gotten a higher level of professionalism and Guadalajara is doing a great job!!

I am a fan of C.D. Guadalajara and didn't like the stadium at first. I thought it was too small and I hated the artificial grass.

It has grown on me, and it has little touches that set it apart from almost everything else, like the hedges surrounding the field and the clean lines of the roof. It is simple and yet very unique.

There are very few stadiums in the world that are better looking than this one.

It was a special tour event sponsored by Heineken, it was sort of a half-time show involving some dance act plus fireworks.

The CL is growing its popularity in Mexico, as it is seen as the ultimate club tournament. Usually kickoff is at 1:45 PM Mexico City time, perfect for everyone to catch part of the game during lunch break. (Lunch break in Mexico is usually starts at 1 or 2 pm).
