Kofu?

:dance::dance:

Congrats Gherkin! It's the Yamanashi Press and Broadcasting Center (http://www.japan-photo.de/e-mo-j19.htm) in Kofu.
The builing designed by Kenzo Tange (1913-2005) was never completed, nevertheless some of my architecture books speak about one of the most beautiful buildings in Japan.

There must be more beautiful buildings in Japan, like some ancient temples or something else. If there's still nothing to see, you can always go to the Holland Village near Nagasaki.

I agree. The thing is butt-ugly!
The best thing about the building is it can be extended almost endlessly
The smart thing concerning this building is the fact there's no beginning, no end, no front-or backside.
The structure is nevertheless impressive: the Yamanashi Press and Broadcasting Center is one off the most beautiful buildings in modern Japan.

Even i dare to put some questionmarks there....
