Image quality and compositional skills together with knowledge of reading the light are integral part of urban photography. Your photos can't rally be assessed due to the poor image quality. If you insist on an assessment, all I can say is that those are really poorly taken photos. One major flaw besides the quality would be the tile horizon. I suggest you visit www.clubsnap.org for more info on photography.

Nowadays the sky is usually cloudy and overcast due to the La Nina weather pattern. The lack of sunlight makes photos appear dull and liveless so I have resisted taking pics lately.

The best time for taking pics is when the sun is bright and the sky cloudless. Bright yellowish early morning sunlight is probably the nicest for taking pics of buildings, I think.

Weather's good today! I hope it'll be a good day too tomorrow. :)

Simon91, you can post your pictures in the main threads too. ;)

If you interested to enhance your pictures further, you might want to invest in Adobe PhotoShop CS 3. :D

Yup...from my experience, morning sun and evening sun make pics appear nicer. But even on a cloudy day, enhancing your pics with software can do the trick. I usually, saturate, sharpen and contrast them.

^^Sorry for a little Off Topic - so during a normal year, are there fewer rainy and cloudy days?

I dont have the figures, but the weather can be quite erratic. It can be really hot and sunny one minute, and then change into thundery showers within 10 min.

My guess is that there is both an abundance of sunshine and rain all year round.

Oh.. I see. Can I say that taking good pictures is all about good framing ?Anything else can be remedied by software.
