I don't know why.. but I really love Philly. One of the greatest american cities :)

I have been all over the US and lived many places. Philadelphia is definitely one of America's finest walkable and liveable cities. People love the city because they don't expect its sumptuous rewards to be so gripping. Also many folks are shocked that Philly is a giant city. Some must have been expecting Newark or Colonial Williamsburg.

I personally, am a fan of the history, texture and architecture.

I want to see Philly so terribly bad. I've been enamored w/ Philly since I saw the first ROCKY movie as a kid.

Yea, those new condos are coming along nicely. I also hate it when tourists come to the art museum and run up the steps acting like rocky. I find it quite annoying. And as for the city, theres a lot of problems but no sense in turning this to a city debate. Great pics.:cheers:

Is it that normal to see people acting like Rocky at the steps of the art museum? I understand its a big Hollywood movie thing, but I find it kinda weird to see people actually acting so dumb in public!:lol:

I believe the Comcast Center will be 975 ft tall. It will be squared off at the top.

I love philadelphia. The city is so full of history. I think this will be a great addition to the skyline.

And the workers there....

And seeing the Philly skyline from the air and watching a tour guide on Philly.

Philly has such a kick-ass skyline. I've always been jealous, and now it's even better. Congrats to Philadelphia!

HAHA because the city really doesn't have a lot of good things going for it now. It is the second most dangerous city in America other than Detroit. Its a nice city, but I would never live in Philly. Or at least at the moment.

I'll have you know that the city just elected Michael Nutter as the next mayor. One of his biggest priorities is to revamp the whole Police Administration so that the city of Philadelphia can be a safer place. Everyone in the city is advocating for change and working together to make it a better place. On the whole, its changing for the better.

Philly has a lot going for it even with its horrendous crime rate.....

Philadelphia is one of the safer cities in the US.

It is nothing like Detroit. All I can say is compare real estate trends in both cities and you will see how differrent they are. Philly may have had a rough year in some of the dicier neighborhoods but it is still a big safe city.

The most dangerous thing about Philly is the food. It will stop your heart.
Cholesterol is the worst crime around.

These days every freakin city can be dangerous...

......and by the way, I don't think Detroit seems dangerous either. It is desolate for the most part. The most dangerous place to be in America is in the White House or in your car on one of our many overfunded superhighways.

Give me a run down city over a scary country town any day.

I definately love those more european-looking cities in the US. Philadelphia has its share of typical american buildinigs too, so double bonus...or so :)

Crime or not Philly is safe and a wonderful place to live. Of all the places I lived its my favorite by far. It feels safe and that is more important than statistics. I licved there for 11 years without an incident. And believe me I was walking around buzzed at 2 am quite often. Smack in the heart of Center City.

Philly, Seattle and Chicago are the most adorable cities of US
