streetscapeer May 25th, 2007, 08:42 PM hottness...I love the new comcast
weird May 25th, 2007, 08:45 PM I don't know why.. but I really love Philly. One of the greatest american cities :)
philadweller May 25th, 2007, 09:31 PM I have been all over the US and lived many places. Philadelphia is definitely one of America's finest walkable and liveable cities. People love the city because they don't expect its sumptuous rewards to be so gripping. Also many folks are shocked that Philly is a giant city. Some must have been expecting Newark or Colonial Williamsburg.
I personally, am a fan of the history, texture and architecture.
EffSizzle May 25th, 2007, 11:52 PM I want to see Philly so terribly bad. I've been enamored w/ Philly since I saw the first ROCKY movie as a kid.
bayviews May 26th, 2007, 04:52 AM Nice to know that William Penn is finally looking up at Philly's skyline!
rober2010 June 4th, 2007, 06:52 AM i want to live in philadelphia.....a great city
WolfHound June 4th, 2007, 07:26 AM Yea, those new condos are coming along nicely. I also hate it when tourists come to the art museum and run up the steps acting like rocky. I find it quite annoying. And as for the city, theres a lot of problems but no sense in turning this to a city debate. Great pics.
Alibaba June 4th, 2007, 01:34 PM looks nice - how tall is it the new tower?
Taylorhoge June 4th, 2007, 03:36 PM Im in Love with Philly really want to go to school there

Califoreigner June 14th, 2007, 10:23 AM Comcast Center (the tall blue-glass tower U/C): America's best new high-rise of 2008?
What would you say?
ChivDevil June 14th, 2007, 06:43 PM Is it that normal to see people acting like Rocky at the steps of the art museum? I understand its a big Hollywood movie thing, but I find it kinda weird to see people actually acting so dumb in public!

xzmattzx June 15th, 2007, 01:19 PM Great pictures. Philadweller, you need to start coming into the Northeast US section. We could use some Philly pictures.
Nice to know that William Penn is finally looking up at Philly's skyline!
Actually, most people are pissed that Penn is not looking down on everything. Google "the curse of William Penn".

I believe the Comcast Center will be 975 ft tall. It will be squared off at the top.

Archi-Tex June 15th, 2007, 10:35 PM I love philadelphia. The city is so full of history. I think this will be a great addition to the skyline.
P.S. Does anyone have any good pics of the Austin, Texas downtown area?
Audiomuse June 16th, 2007, 12:36 AM I was at the airport in Philadelphia and even there I got a peek at Philly's culture. The cheesesteaks haha.
And the workers there....
And seeing the Philly skyline from the air and watching a tour guide on Philly.
[I saw the u/c Comcast from the air too, amazing :D]
Phildelphia is one of the best kept secrets in the U.S. I don't hear much about the city unfortunately.
WinoSoul June 16th, 2007, 02:40 AM Beautiful!!
tanzirian June 16th, 2007, 02:55 AM Thanks to Philly Skyline.

flyin_higher June 16th, 2007, 08:49 AM Looks like a nice city there...anyone got a final render of that new tower?
Resident June 16th, 2007, 09:09 AM Philly has such a kick-ass skyline. I've always been jealous, and now it's even better. Congrats to Philadelphia!
mjbu June 16th, 2007, 09:33 AM woooo the city look really nice, I can't wait to there once again.
Zombile June 16th, 2007, 11:51 AM Is that the Balboa family?

HAHA because the city really doesn't have a lot of good things going for it now. It is the second most dangerous city in America other than Detroit. Its a nice city, but I would never live in Philly. Or at least at the moment.

Philly has a lot going for it even with its horrendous crime rate.....
I'll have you know that the city just elected Michael Nutter as the next mayor. One of his biggest priorities is to revamp the whole Police Administration so that the city of Philadelphia can be a safer place. Everyone in the city is advocating for change and working together to make it a better place. On the whole, its changing for the better.

Hopefully, it went downhill when that police chief went to Miami.

I know--I love texture too, specially the first picture on the first page.
Chicagoflo October 12th, 2007, 12:27 AM Looks very great! :)
aliendroid October 12th, 2007, 04:01 AM Comcast tower One of the best buildings going up in the world, I love it.
philadweller October 12th, 2007, 03:34 PM Philadelphia is one of the safer cities in the US.
It is nothing like Detroit. All I can say is compare real estate trends in both cities and you will see how differrent they are. Philly may have had a rough year in some of the dicier neighborhoods but it is still a big safe city.
The most dangerous thing about Philly is the food. It will stop your heart.
Cholesterol is the worst crime around.
WinnipegPatriot October 12th, 2007, 04:27 PM These days every freakin city can be dangerous...
This tower will be such a dramatic addition...
philadweller October 12th, 2007, 05:37 PM ......and by the way, I don't think Detroit seems dangerous either. It is desolate for the most part. The most dangerous place to be in America is in the White House or in your car on one of our many overfunded superhighways.
Give me a run down city over a scary country town any day.
K BRITO October 17th, 2007, 10:34 PM Pretty soon Philadelphia would be the new Chicago :)
philadweller October 17th, 2007, 11:48 PM "Phildelphia is one of the best kept secrets in the U.S. I don't hear much about the city unfortunately."
..true but New Yorkers like it that way as they snatch up every good real estate deal.

Watch this and see the old skyline.
MDguy October 18th, 2007, 12:18 AM Is that the Balboa family?

anyway, awesome shots!
Pegasusbsb27 October 18th, 2007, 01:17 AM I'd rather be in Philadelphia :):):)
werder December 11th, 2007, 12:10 PM Any new pictures from the construction sites?
fettekatz December 11th, 2007, 01:33 PM I definately love those more european-looking cities in the US. Philadelphia has its share of typical american buildinigs too, so double bonus...or so :)
philadweller December 11th, 2007, 04:18 PM "It is the second most dangerous city in America other than Detroit. Its a nice city, but I would never live in Philly. Or at least at the moment."
Crime or not Philly is safe and a wonderful place to live. Of all the places I lived its my favorite by far. It feels safe and that is more important than statistics. I licved there for 11 years without an incident. And believe me I was walking around buzzed at 2 am quite often. Smack in the heart of Center City.
JPBrazil December 12th, 2007, 02:52 AM Philly, Seattle and Chicago are the most adorable cities of US
