Yea...nice frenchy building...if u have seen some of this kind in the real life... :bash: these imitations look really nice on posters and panels thou,but when they're completed (usually with cheap materials)...i think u would blow it up just after first sight....believe me,any average-viet-town municipal area has it! :)

but since Vietnam is still struggling for an identity in architecture...I hope that they keep building french imitattion buildings, atleast they'll look like something when they're done. Another thing is those buildings are very comforting, I always felt home and Vietnam when I see them.......

I'd been quite a few places around the world, and I have to say, if I don't see their currency and their flags I wouldn't know which country they are...because the cityscapes, the buildings architecture are pretty much the same.....modern and boring..........only when I came back to Vietnam that I see the world turn 180 degree..............so different, so noisy, smelly, stinky, dirty, colourful, polutted, chaotic, beautiful...........never a dull moment in Saigon (Actually there is a very very dull moment.......the time when I had to deal with the police........"you don't inform us of your stay in Vietnam you pay money, you pay now" ....biatch... hehehe)

I wonder if it's illegal for us to pay money every time we return to Vietnam and stays at a relative house. It's the norm for us to pay VND500,000 every time and I've always questioned this. hmmm

You are crazy, stop doing that.
the first time I went back my family and I didn't know, we thought we went through custom at the airport then everything was fine.....who knew you had to "present" yourself to the police.

You need a stamp of aproval from the police in your area, so when you leave at the airport they won't give you any trouble......but if you don't have that stamp, when you leave you have to pay a fine of vnd500.000
in you're case you are paying for nothing.

I told the police "police woman sister, this is me first time comming back to mah beloved country , I didn't know, I'm broke, I'm a poor student with uncertainty future, will you let me go.....oh would you let this go just once" (a little bit out of context but that's pretty much what I said)
That fat bitchy police woman said "No, you didn't present yourself when you first arrived now I can't give you a stamp"....and for a week I had to extend my visa and running to the visa department and back to the police for like 7 times.....altogether 14. My family insisted that I give her vnd100.000 I said no....I won't bribe anyone..but my family however took their own money and gave it to that police woman and another police man when I left, altogether with the costs of visa and everything around vnd 1.000.000.
when we're done......she even asked me to give donation to the "flood victims and the orphans" .....But I'm very sure she's the flood victim and an orphan herself.

Second time I'm back I gave my passport to my aunt to take it to the police, so when they don't see you they can't squeeze any money out of you.

blood still raises up my throat thinking about it.

The designs of the WEST HAI DUONG NEW URBAN and of the NACIMEX NAM DINH URBAN obviously look the same... Does anybody have any informations about this project?

It's necessary to promote companies like the Phu My Hung to manage those projects,before and after building it.Without an effective managing strategy,buildings will turn into pig sty soon...

Don't know why but I don't think the whole urban project will look like exactly what it's planned.

Quang Ninh (VNA) - Construction of a 25-storey tower in Ha Long city, designed to offer manificent views of the world heritage Ha Long Bay from its top, began on October 8.

The 87-m Ha Long Tower, covering an area of 1,225 sq.m, will comprise a trade centre, offices and luxury apartments.

It is estimated to cost 7.3 million USD, 58 percent of which will be contributed by the Republic of Korea and 42 percent from Viet Nam.-Enditem

not a city or town....just a fishing village in the early 90s if you watched
but thanks to the tittle world heritage site and that film Oscar award winning Indochine film.....halong is booming

VietNamNet – TD Plaza, the first modern trade centre in Hai Phong, covering an area of 26,000 sq.m will soon serve the city’s need for shopping and entertaiment.

Commercial real estate company CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) yesterday announced the construction of TD Plaza, the first modern trade centre in Hai Phong City.

Billed a ‘shopping paradise’, the centre will meet consumer demand for shopping with high fashion, cosmetics, sportswear, electronics and furniture.

The project grew out of a CBRE survey showing that Hai Phong residents must typically travel to Hanoi or HCM City to shop. Developers hope that TD Plaza will offer a closer alternative. Company representatives said that the trade centre would improve the lifestyle of city residents with a large area for eating, shopping, entertainment and international cinema previously unavailable in Hai Phong.

The project will offer more space for lease than Trang Tien Plaza, Big C and Vincom Towers, in Hanoi. It will consist of six levels and two 12-storey towers to house 200 high-class apartments for sale.

TD Plaza’s trade area will be operational in June 2006, the luxury apartments, in January 2007. Projected leasing rates are US$11-33 per sq.m from the 6th to 1st floor.

Obstacles faced while clearing land and the financial inability of investors have slowed down progress on the development of major real estate projects in the northern port city of Haiphong.

The Haiphong People’s Committee revealed last week that construction of the Do Son Seaside Golf Resort and Quang Minh Tourist and Recreational Complex was being delayed by the reluctance of residents to move from the site.
Municipal authorities have also threatened to revoke the licence of Hai Phong Plaza due to developers failing to make any progresses with construction.
The committee said 54 households within the Do Son Seaside Golf Resort site were still reluctant to move, with many opposing the lower-than-expected compensation.
Project developer Ngan Anh Tourist and Trading Company planned to open the first nine holes of the $60-million development in late 2006, but the deadline has been challenged due to site clearance delays.
Do Son Seaside Golf Resort will include a resort hotel, luxury villas, shopping centre, hospital, school and eco-tourism area, as well as an 18-hole championship seaside golf course, all of which are planned to be opened in mid-2007.
Authorities said the Quang Minh Tourist Complex also faced construction obstacles, claiming an inability to relocate a 5,000-sqm cemetery used by locals.
Committee chairman Trinh Quang Su asked concerned departments to work closely with investors in order to clear residents from sites and speed up construction.
However, Su warned developers of Haiphong Plaza that they would have their licence withdrawn if they failed to restart construction of the multi-purpose complex before January 10.
Haiphong Plaza is being developed by General Electric Apparatuses and Machine Trading Company, with the project breaking ground in May 2005.
Developers hoped to have the project completed by 2008, however, there has been little progress since the initial stages.
Haiphong Plaza is a twin tower complex with one structure dedicated to hotel accommodation and the other to office space.
The towers will be connected by a shopping mall and conference hall, with the project costing an estimated $20 million.
Located on a 1.2-hectare site in Cat Bi Airport Junction New Urban Area’s 20-hectare site, Haiphong Plaza will eventually be surrounded by a number of other real estate projects, which have already received the go ahead.
Thuy Duong Company are also building the TD Plaza within the 20-hectare site, which includes a shopping mall and luxury residential twin towers.
The 26,000-sqm mall is expected to open for business in mid-2006, with rental rates between $9 and $35, while the 200 apartments will be completed one year later. Another local developer is building residential twin towers in the urban area.
Completion of the three-storey EIE shopping mall complex is also expected to provide the French Bourbon Group with a location for a Big C supercentre.
Haiphong has a population of 1.77 million people and its GDP per capita increased 14.4 per cent in 2004 to $962.
Numerous real estate projects have been proposed for the city, but only a few have actually commenced construction.

Khu resort rộng 100ha, nằm bên hồ Đại Lải với 525ha mặt nước, khu vực trọng điểm du lịch của tỉnh Vĩnh Phúc cũng như toàn miền Bắc Việt Nam. QUANG NINH — The country’s largest and most modern hotel will be constructed on the beach of Bai Chay in Ha Long City.

According to Ha Quang Long, deputy general director of Hoang Gia International Joint Stock Co, the hotel’s developer, the construction aims to address a significant shortage in the supply of high-quality hotels and guest houses in the resort area, especially five-star hotels.

The new five-star hotel, which will have 707 rooms, will be built with a total investment capital of US$51.4 million. Construction is expected to begin earlier next year, with the hotel to open in 2008.

The resort complex aims to become the cultural and tourist centre for the Ha Long City area. It will also include an $8 million, 1,200-seat theatre, and a 14,000sq.m trade centre.

To finance the project, Hoang Gia International Joint Stock Co is expected to offer about 5.5 million shares next month at a face value of VND150,000 ($9.42) per share.

Currently, the Ha Long City-Bai Chay area has 10,000 guest rooms, of which about 1,600 are considered high-quality rooms. The average occupancy is 80 per cent and reaches 100 per cent during festivals and holidays.

With the current growth in tourism, the shortage of rooms in Ha Long City is expected to become greater, said Tran Tuan Anh, deputy director of the Vietravel representative office in Ha Noi.

According to statistics of the Quang Ninh tourism department, Ha Long Bay attracted over 800,000 foreign visitors and 640,000 domestic visitors last year.

I didnt come back much! But there are a new hotel 20 floors building near the bordergate called Ruber Hotel (Cos Mong Cai is the main port to export Ruber of Vietnam which is counted as 65% of whole nation)

We alos finished the 18 holes golf club in Mong Cai that is the uniqe one located near the sea coast in Vietnam (Also invested by Hongkong chinese) (my hometown will be real chinese area after several year hcichi, however hope the biggest SeaPort in nothern Vietnam shall be built there promptly)! i hope can provide the picture soon!

They said Canada is among few countries with old trees dated back too hundreds of years, trees so wide yoiu can drive a car through.

It's Ha Dong Town will be merged to Hanoi Soon(Ha Dong Town is next to Thanh Xuan District and with Van Phuc and 3 LA villages (La Khe,La Quan and one other i don't remember- famous silk village ).
Ha Tay will be a part of Region HANOI but will not be a part of the city itselfYeap ! but the most important parts (i.e. Hoa lac High Tech Zone, and HaDong Town) will belong to Hanoi. Hatayese there shall be Hanoinant automatically! :)

i read that Ciputra Mal is only 130,000sqm, eventhought i knew it gonna be HUGE.

Japan’s Intra Corporation has obtained the greentlight from the government to develop US$100 million new urban area in the northern Vietnam.

The Thai Nguyen People’s Committee Tuesday handed over the investment license to the investor under the witness of the Planning and Investment Ministry (MPI).

As planned, the Yokohama-based company sought to upgrade Xuong Rong Lake and build apartments and office buildings in Thai Nguyen city.

As detailed, some $70 million will be pumped into urban area construction; $18 million for land clearance; and $12 million for the lake upgrade.

Two phase project

In the first phase, 2007-08, the investor is to complete upgrading the lake and related infrastructure works under the build-transfer mode.

Land would be only handed over to the company to develop office and building blocks for sale and rent in the second phase 2008-10 when the investor completed the project’s first phase.

Phan Huu Thang, head of MPI’s Foreign Investment Department said the approval of the project was a good debut for the country’s foreign investment attraction this year with the target of $11 billion.

Thang added that the target could be achievable on the back of the improved domestic business climate.

Several mammoth projects on the cards were feasible.

Vietnam raised its foreign direct investment (FDI) target for the 2006-10 period to US$55 billion, or $11 billion a year on average.

It had earlier hoped to attract $9.2 billion in 2007 alone.

Vietnam’s central task in 2007 was to effectively implement reform laws to make the business environment friendlier, according to MPI.

The government was putting more effort into reforming administrative procedures, fighting corruption, and other actions to enhance the country’s competitiveness in FDI attraction.

Taiwan’s Foxconn, the world’s leading maker of outsourced electronics products, plans to build factories in two northern Vietnamese provinces.

It chose Bac Ninh and Bac Giang following a visit there by chairman and CEO, Terry Gou.

Foxconn, which manufactures world-famous products like Nokia cell phones, iPod music players, PlayStation 2 game consoles, and Sony Laptop, will invest US$3 billion in these two plants.

Under a plan it discussed with the leaders of the two provinces, Foxconn is likely to build a 1,000 ha complex in Bac Ninh including a hi-tech park, township, golf course, hospital, and entertainment park.

In Bac Giang too it will build a similar, 1,500 ha complex.

The two facilities will churn out computers and communications and consumer electronic products.

In their first two years of full operation, the plants will generate some $3.5 billion a year in exports.

Foxconn has signed a contract for leasing 50,000 sq.m in Bac Ninh’s Que Vo Industrial Park.

It expects to get the land in April and start operation in May.

The group is also looking for areas in southern and central Vietnam to build two hi-tech parks.

Foxconn, the trade name for Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., exports some $45 billion worth items each year, with 80 percent coming from facilities in China.

VietNamNet Bridge – Strategists are discussing a plan to build a new international airport in the north.

Phan Van Nghi, former head of the airport and aviation works design institute under the Aviation General Department, the Ministry of Defence, talked to the press about how and where the new airport in the north would be built.

What do you think about the comment that the existing airports in the north can hardly be developed into civil airports of international standards?

Nearly all the airports built in Vietnam in the past served military goals, and big airports all took shape in the war time. In the north, the main task of our airforce at that time was fighting to protect Hanoi, which decided where the airports would be set up. Noi Bai was the first class military airport.

After the war ended in 1975, the need to build the civil aviation industry became urgent, including an international airport. Noi Bai proved to be the most suitable airport which allowed for the use of existing facilities while no there was no need to make heavy investment at that time. Up to now, Noi Bai airport has been serving both civil and military purposes.

Do you think that Noi Bai airport, which has been upgraded many times, can become an international airport in the north?

Noi Bai was built in 1961, and it has experienced many periods of expansion and development. However, I must say that the upgrading was just temporary work, and it cannot become a modern airport of international standard.

There were two times of heavy upgrades at Noi Bai airport. The first time was in 1978, when only the runway was upgraded. The second time took place in 1994, and this proved to be an unfeasible project. It was like building another airport next to an existing airport; therefore, it could only exist on paper.

The patchy plan cannot help Noi Bai meet the technical requirements set for an international airport. Therefore, Noi Bai, though being called an international airport, never can meet the requirements for a real international airport.

Some experts said that it was necessary to remove the military air base at Noi Bai to other places, to Mieu Mon, for example, leaving Noi Bai for civil services only. How do you comment about this?

Noi Bai is now a military base of an air division, and this has big influence on civil aviation, which cannot be overcome. Though Noi Bai has had a new runway for taking off and landing, it would not be enough for the next 5-10 years, when the airport has to serve several million passengers a year. In addition, the military base itself will also have to develop. In general, the situation of “two in one” of Noi Bai airport should be stopped.

Is it an urgent task now to design a completely new airport for the north?

Modernising and building new airports are the new tendencies in the world. The demand for carrying passengers by air is still quickly increasing, as air travel is still considered the economy mean of transport. Big aircraft manufacturers in the world, including Boeing and Airbus try to launch new models of aircrafts which can carry 500 passengers (like A380). All over the world, people pay special attention to developing modern aviation and building modern and big airports.

In Vietnam, the need to build an international airport has been mentioned for a long time. In the southern key economic area (HCM City – Dong Nai – Ba Ria – Vung Tau), the construction of a new airport in Long Thanh area has been discussed since late 1990s due to the overloading and limited operation of Tan Son Nhat airport.

I think it is the right time to think of building an international airport in the north. It always takes several tens of years to build and put an airport into operation. In Vietnam, I think, it will take 10-15 years. The international airport must be available by 2020, when Vietnam basically becomes an industrial country. If not, the lack of an international airport will hinder the national economy’s development and global integration.

Which place do you think would be suitable for an international airport?

Once the transport system in the region is modernised, with the Hanoi – Hai Phong route being the main route, the airport should be located nearby.

At the workshops on developing airports held by ICAO, when talking about places to set up airports, experts stressed the need to build international airports for urban areas, economic areas in order to take full advantage of aviation in economic development.

I mean the new international airport in the north should aim to serve one urban area and economic region rather than be the airport of a city. Therefore, the place for the airport should have suitable distances to the cities belonging to the Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh economic triangle (30-50 km is reasonable). I think the disadvantages in terrain and geology can be settled thanks to high technologies.

The international airport in the north should have:
- capacity: 60-80mil passengers a year and 1.5-5mil tones of goods a year
- land coverage: 3,000-4,000ha (designed to be located in Hai Duong).
- Degree of airport: 4F (ICAO standards) with 2-3 runways for taking off and landing
- terminal: upgrading in every period
- Investment capital: US$4-5bil

Hai Phong will soon be home to a second luxury apartment complex, as Korean investor GNS Vina prepares to break ground at its Cozyvill site this month.

The 420 luxury apartments will be built in three 20-storey towers on a 23,000-square-metre site. The complex will also comprise a nine-storey multipurpose building with a swimming pool, car park and kindergarten for the residents who will live and work in the complex.

GNS Vina chief manager Vu Van Tiem said the company had finished its preparations for the US$10 million apartment complex, which will take about two years to build.

Hai Phong is the third largest city in Vietnam, and most of its 149 serviced apartments have already been occupied. Tiem said he was confident that Cozyvill will be one of the best residential complexes in the city.

"After finishing the construction in 2009, the Cozyvill international serviced apartments will become the second luxury residential complex in the city," Tiem said.

The city's first luxury apartment complex, TD Plaza, 'is located near Cat Bi airport and includes a shopping centre, modern entertainment complex and condominiums. The project was built at a cost of US$21.2 million by the Vietnamese-owned Thuy Duong Co

Tiem said there was a rising demand for apartments in the city. Shortly after its demonstration apartments were built, it received orders for 32 apartments.

"Living standards in the city are improving very fast, so many people in Hai Phong can afford to buy luxury apartments priced between US$100,000 and US$200,000," he said.

Most of tourism on the bay is sightseeing so tourists will feel bored and simple and don’t explore the heritage’s worth of Ha Long bay. This project is developed with the varied and new activities:

1. Presentation:
Developing types of climbing mountain and sightseeing, exploring ecological system on the bay.
Building a ecological guest house on the bay with infrastructure system serving self-contained service such as: resting house, meeting hall, swimming pool, tennis ground, museum, entertainment area,...in order to serve tourists with traveling, resting and meeting with medium and small size.
Building a researching center.
Building a ocean park with the types of visiting and variety entertainments of international position.
Building a cave, carven museum having specific characteristic of archeology on Ha Long bay.

2. Project’s purpose:
Preserving geological system, terrain and ecological on the ground and under the sea..
Maintaining, developing historical museum and displaying archeological heritage, introducing cave wonders.
Developing natural lake’s landscape surrounded by stone mountain on Lom Bo island in order to build plant-animal ocean park in the model of thuy cung park with the purpose of serving national and international tourists go to research, study and teach.

3. Project’s scale:

The project is divided into following functions:
Resorts.
Museum and Thuy cung.
Preserving Me Cung cave.
Water sport area.

4. Total investment capital: 297.565.305.000 VND.

VietNamNet Bridge – Taiwan’s Foxconn group this morning, August 28, opened the first two plants in its $5billion group of projects in Vietnam in the presence of Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai and Terry Gou, Chairman of Foxconn.

The two plants, manufacturing electronic components, have initial investment capital of $160 million and are located in Que Vo Industrial Zone in the northern province of Bac Ninh.

Along with those plants, Foxconn is also opening a representative office in Bac Ninh. At the same time, it is building another electronic component plant in Bac Giang province.

Foxconn chose Bac Ninh and Bac Giang as the two first buffers in Vietnam and it aims to turn the two places into cities of technology in the future. According to Foxconn, Vietnam is its third-most-important destination after China and India.

The largest base of Foxconn is now in China with 270,000 employees. The group has 15 branches throughout the world and it is one of the top five electronic component groups in the world.

Foxconn operates in various fields such as production of electronic components and assembly of computers, printers, cameras, TV sets, laptops, ipods, iphones, cell phones and telecom products. This group is a provider of components for Apple, Nokia, Intel, Microsoft, Dell, HP, IBM, Motorola and Sony Ericsson.

Foxconn has recruited 500 new university graduates in Vietnam who will be trained in China to become key staffs at Foxconn’s factories in Vietnam.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has permitted Foxconn to invest in the Van Trung industrial zone, residential area and golf course complex in Bac Giang province.

This group has recently signed a memorandum of understanding to invest $1 billion in Binh Dinh province. HCM City has also agreed on its 200ha technology park worth over $1 billion.

Việt kiều tại Anh đầu tư xây khu đô thị mới tại Hải Phòng
Hội Doanh nghiệp Việt Nam tại Anh sẽ đầu tư dự án xây dựng khu nhà và biệt thự cao cấp theo kiến trúc hiện đại làm nhà ở, nhà nghỉ dưỡng và các công trình văn hóa, giải trí và thể thao đi kèm, có tổng vốn đầu tư khoảng 90 triệu USD tại thành phố Hải Phòng.

Theo bản ghi nhớ về dự án làng Việt kiều nói trên, được Phó Chủ tịch Ủy ban Nhân dân thành phố Hải Phòng Hoàng Văn Kể và Chủ tịch Hội Doanh nghiệp Việt Nam tại Anh Phạm Minh Nam ký ngày 19/10 tại Luân Đôn, thành phố sẽ tạo điều kiện cho dự án được triển khai trên diện tích khoảng 90-100ha, ở vị trí thuận tiện và theo quy hoạch.

Nhân chuyến thăm và làm việc tại Anh lần này, đoàn lãnh đạo cấp cao thành phố Hải Phòng cũng giới thiệu với cộng đồng Việt kiều một số dự án lớn đang kêu gọi vốn đầu tư tại thành phố như quy hoạch khu du lịch quốc tế Hòn Dấu và khu đô thị du lịch Cái Giá-Cát Bà.

Hiện có khoảng 8.500 Việt kiều có quê ở Hải Phòng, trong tổng số 35.000 Việt kiều sinh sống tại Anh./.

Khởi công xây tòa nhà 20 tầng ở Nghệ An
Sáng 20/10, Tổng công ty Euro Window Holding đã khởi công xây dựng công trình Trung tâm Thương mại - Văn phòng cho thuê và Căn hộ cao cấp cao 20 tầng tại thành phố Vinh, tỉnh Nghệ An với tổng vốn đầu tư 364,5 tỷ đồng.

Công trình có 3 hạng mục là khu văn phòng cao cấp cho thuê rộng 5.200m2, khu thương mại gồm 28 cửa hàng siêu thị thông tầng rộng 10.520m2 và 100 căn hộ cao cấp có tổng diện tích 11.735m2.

Ngoài ra, tại đây còn có các công trình phụ trợ như vườn hoa, sân chơi, tầng hầm để xe và các hệ thống thông tin liên lạc, phòng cháy chữa cháy tiêu chuẩn quốc tế.

Đến thời điểm này, đây là công trình có chiều cao lớn nhất được xây dựng tại Nghệ An.

Hôm qua, dự án khu đô thị, công nghiệp và dịch vụ Việt Nam - Singapore Bắc Ninh (VISP Bắc Ninh) đã được khởi công xây dựng. Nơi đây có tổng diện tích 700 ha, trong đó 500 ha dành cho khu công nghiệp và 200 ha còn lại thuộc về khu đô thị, thương mại.

VSIP Bắc Ninh nằm trên quốc lộ 1 nối vùng kinh tế trọng điểm phía Bắc với Trung Quốc và ở vị trí giáp ranh giữa Hà Nội - Bắc Ninh trên phần đất của các huyện Từ Sơn, Tiên Du, cách trung tâm thủ đô Hà Nội khoảng 20 km

Tổng diện tích của VSIP Bắc Ninh là 700 ha, trong đó 500 ha dành phát triển một khu công nghiệp sạch, có tiêu chuẩn môi trường và công nghệ sản xuất tiên tiến. Nơi này sẽ là địa điểm lý tưởng cho các nhà máy điện tử, dược phẩm, phụ tùng ôtô, cơ khí chính xác, hàng tiêu dùng và khu kho vận, cung cấp các dịch vụ kho vận hàng hóa cho cả khu vực rộng lớn phía Bắc của Hà Nội.

Khu đô thị có diện tích 200 ha sẽ bao gồm các dự án thương mại, khách sạn, siêu thị, trường học, văn phòng, khu thể thao, nhà ở, căn hộ chất lượng cao và các dự án nhà ở dành cho người lao động có thu nhập thấp.

Dự án VSIP Bắc Ninh do các kiến trúc sư của Singapore quy hoạch và sẽ được xây dựng cơ sở hạ tầng đạt chất lượng quốc tế, chú trọng đến bảo vệ môi trường và tạo ra công viên công nghiệp sạch, xanh và một đô thị hiện đại tại phía Bắc của Hà Nội.

Việc phát triển hạ tầng giai đoạn I của dự án đầu tiên tại phía Bắc này của VSIP sẽ bắt đầu vào quý 1/2008. Khi hoàn thành, dự án VSIP Bắc Ninh có thể thu hút khoảng hơn 200 nhà đầu tư với số vốn ước tính khoảng 2 tỷ USD và tạo ra được khoảng 40.000 việc làm cho người lao động.

Hiện VSIP Bắc Ninh đã thu hút được 15 dự án đầu tư với tổng số vốn ước tính đạt 200 triệu USD cam kết thuê trên 120 ha, chiếm hơn 20% diện tích đất công nghiệp của dự án, trong đó có 7 dự án được trao giấy chứng nhận đầu tư trong lễ khởi công với số vốn khoảng 120 triệu USD, gồm các dự án khách sạn 4 sao và khu thể thao ngoài trời 30 triệu USD, dự án siêu thị vật liệu xây dựng, trang trí nội thất và nhà ở 15 triệu USD. Các dự án lắp ráp điện tử đến từ Mỹ, Nhật Bản, Đài Loan có số vốn và công nghệ cao.

VSIP tại Việt Nam được khởi đầu với dự án VSIP I có diện tích 500 ha tại tỉnh Bình Dương năm 1996. Năm 2006, trong lễ kỷ niệm 10 năm hình thành và phát triển VSIP, dự án khu công nghiệp Việt Nam - Singapore II cũng tại Bình Dương đã được xây dựng.

Vay 1,1 tỷ USD xây đường cao tốc Hà Nội-Lào Cai :banana:

Ngân hàng Phát triển Châu Á (ADB) đã quyết định cho Việt Nam vay 1,1 tỷ USD để xây dựng đường cao tốc Hà Nội - Lào Cai. Đây là một dự án cho vay lớn nhất trong lịch sử hỗ trợ tài chính của ADB.

Tuyến đường bộ bắt đầu từ ngoại thành Hà Nội đến cửa khẩu Việt Nam - Trung Quốc ở Lào Cai dài 244km. Đây là tuyến đường quan trọng nằm trong chiến lược phát triển hai vành đai một hành lang kinh tế giữa Việt Nam - Trung Quốc.

Hiện nay, nhu cầu vận chuyển trên tuyến đường này liên tục ở trong tình trạng quá tải, tuyến đường bị xuống cấp không thể đáp ứng nổi nhu cầu phát triển. Hiện nay, các xe cộ chở khách phải mất hai ngày di chuyển từ Côn Minh, Trung Quốc đến Hà Nội, với xe tải hạng nặng thời gian di chuyển phải mất đến ba ngày.

Khi tuyến đường mới được hoàn thành vào năm 2012, việc di chuyển xuyên biên giới hai nước sẽ chỉ mất ít hơn một ngày. :banana: Việc giảm thời gian đi lại từ Hà Nội và Hải Phòng đến tận khu vực Tây Bắc sẽ được rút ngắn đáng kể. Đường cao tốc mới sẽ thúc đẩy khả năng xuất khẩu nông sản và thủy sản của Việt Nam sang Trung Quốc nhất là các thị thường nhiều tiềm năng của vùng tây nam Trung Quốc.

Bên cạnh đó, do cảng Hải Phòng và Cái Lân có vị trí gần với Côn Minh hơn so với cảng Fangcheng tại tỉnh Quảng Tây nên đường cao tốc này sẽ tạo ra một kênh vận chuyển mới dành cho các hàng hóa phía tây nam Trung Quốc tiếp cận nhanh hơn với thị trường thế giới.

Dự kiến lưu lượng giao thông Hà Nội - Lào Cai sẽ tăng 12%/năm. Hơn 5,5 triệu phương tiện giao thông sẽ sử dụng hành lang này vào năm 2012, và lưu lượng xe qua lại này sẽ tăng hơn gấp ba lần, đạt 17 triệu lượt vào năm 2022. Tổng giá trị của dự án ước tính là 1,216 tỉ đô la Mỹ. Trong đó, Ngân hàng ADB cho vay 1,096 tỷ USD.

Seriously, if war with China ever break out and assuming they will invade us through that route (unlikely), we can easily blow it off in several places thus effectively disable the highway.

Tiện nói ở đây, hôm nay tôi đọc được tin VN và Campuchia cũng sẽ nối đường sắt từ Phnompenh đến TP HCM qua Lộc Ninh. Dân Cam không sợ "Duôn" vì chuyện đấy cớ sao VN lại sợ Tàu?

Trong thời chiến thì tuyến đường có thể dễ dàng bị cắt đứt. Ngược lại, trong thời bình thì nó lại mang lại lợi ích lớn, hàng ngày, suốt năm này qua năm khác (giúp trao đổi thương mại với vùng Tây Nam Trung Quốc - một thị trường có quy mô lớn hơn toàn bộ VN).

well Tq do you have infor about BIDV Tower near Vietcombank Tower in Hanoi , that one is progressing fast it reached second floor and may be completed less than a year from now .

However I don't know how tall it is and how much does it cost . From the poster it looks great .

The BIDV Tower in Hanoi costs around US$44million, it has 25 storeys and is app. 106 m high. It was designed by PT Architects from Singapore, who also designed the Hanoi West Gate project. Despite the nice design, I'm not so keen on that project in that area.

a lot of resorts and villa are u/c 20minutes away from halong bay.

replace those piers/habours
renovate those old hotels and keep the enviroment clean
are what they have to do.

just hope a betta future for fishermen there, so they can buy new nice boat, and will look nicer themselves .
