1.Incheon city mayor will cancel Development of the 151 Incheon Tower and revise Neighborhood.(Songdo Landmark City-6,8 district of Songdo Int'l City).

2.according to Recent Constructin News(2010/9/8),151 Incheon Tower Authority(developer,related Agency) will revise Development Concept(from 151 to 100)because of Financial Problem.

Cool pics! Been to Seoul this year and saw how much is being worked around Incheon. The whole city is awesome. And this supertall will be one of Korea's landmarks. Can't wait to see it :)

So they're working on reclaiming more land?? I'd build on what you've got first before getting anymore. The whole place looks barren as it is.

No matter what the circumstance is, they must push this building project forward. That's the Korean spirit, folks!

Well.......... It is dissapointing that they have decided to lower it, but as long as they build it at 102 floors, it will still be a supertall, and likely the tallest building in the city. I would rather they lower it then not build it at all.

The tallest such as the Burj Dubai may not be really neccessary but it is the symbolism that counts. I want to say that if they are going to build one, don't build a mediocre that no one cares to have a second look. South Korea needs one magnificant enough to get others' attention. Korea has talked about many super skyscrapers, to my dismay, there has not been one yet. That's a shame. South Korea should have had one already since it has a large economy and population to support super talls.

Seems like it. The proposal was just all wrong. Too large and in a bad location. There trying to create a destination out of nothing. A project like this needs to be built in an already existing CBD, where they can lure tenants and people much easier.

Drove by this a few days ago on my way from the airport. There was equipment on the site. Not sure on what it was, but the site wasn't totally barren like in the last update. If I have time this weekend I will pay Seoul Lite a visit!!

It's great it still have a chance to have at least 500m. With that height it still may have good proportions and look nice. If I remember right there was a rumor it could end up as 300m tall, and that would destroy the design.

Korea needs a supertall, not another forgetable mediocre. Perhaps, this project was not worth an enthuasm. I would suggest that they should come up with something more substantial.

Your enthuasm about the project impresses me but the tower does not. Mediocre just means settling with a shorter tower. I hope they won't if they go ahead with this project.

turning one of the most beautiful architectural designs and turning it into a blant boring tower doesnt do the building justice :(. i mean the last design is probably pretty massive and may look nice too, when finished, but we all will have in mind what the previous design was. :ohno:
