Yes I arrive on Tuesday and will be leaving on Saturday.

It should be interesting my first time in nigera and abuja.

I also stop over in london for most of Monday and that will be my first visit to Great Britian .

First to dennis . i am from nova scotia Canada
Second I am coming on the invite of the commonwealth games committee for Abuja 2014 . I will be inspecting the sports facilities on escorted tours and see how things go with my hosts for pictures.

I will be taking a video cam and digital camera. I am so pumped for it as the trip has been worked on for a while. The committee has been nothing but totally professional and I feel like a long lost brother . African friendliness is being fully displayed with this group of people.

We generally view the bid in the same way and I believe the committee will rise to the occasion .

they have been questioned to whether they were up for the task but believe me they have very creditable people with great intelligence.

How they stole the show for the bid unvailing is fantastic.

I will do everything in my power to help this group of people and if you beleive in nigeria as a force in the world we should all try to help it happen .

Actually it is just my internet handle referencing the Cult leader in Guyanna.
I was opposed tot he commonwealth games bid in Halifax and with the over zealous confidence some had with that bid I choose Jim Jones as my handle for the man who forced 900 people to commit suicide by drinking poisoned fruit drink in the jungles of Guyanna .

the bid in Halifax was financial suicide for my province. Now the bid for Abuja makes sense entirely . a country with 3.5 percent of foreign debt per annual GDP compared to great britian which has a annual gdp to debt percentage of 48 percent . Canada as the entire is only 2,5 percent but the province of nova scotia is 36 percent debt to annual GDP. We could not afford our share .


Nigeria is making the right moves with market reforms , debt paydown and retirement and some good investments in infrastructure. The increase in non petroleum exports is a good example of the confidence that is growing in Nigeria and with foreign investors.

Nigeria has its problems like many places globally but it is emerging as a place where positve things are happening at a fast pace.
