Keep in mind that the Zenit stadium is the new municipal venue of Russia's 2nd most important city, not only home of Zenit. while in Moscow the clubs have Luzniki for top games and for normal league encounters 30k for both CSKA, Spartak and Loko is definatelly enough. Plus, this one looks like possible to enlarge without major problems.

What's wrong with the Olympic stadium for the Russian national team matches? Looks like the Russian league is coming along very nicely. If the economy keeps going along as it has and Russian can remain stable for just a little while it could threaten the big 5 Euro leagues.

idunno about spain and germany and england as u say, what about sevilla, atletico, valencia, what about bayrern, if there so good why didnt they win the league, and in england those teams do dominate, but the teams surrounding them are still class and have major stadiums and good infrastructure, i think with time and money the russian league could be a strong league in europe, maybe take over italys spot as one of the top leagues

It is probably down to supply and demand economics. If you 'lower' the supply of available seats, you drive up the demand and value. This is why English clubs can charge 30 or 50 GBP a ticket and they cannot even give away a ticket for free to Italian football such as Juventus.

For the average supporter the mega stadiums are better because you can get a seat on the day, but for pro clubs it is not.

I like this stadium apart from that awful tower in the corner. Stadiums just shouldn't have them built integrated into them why didn't they build it across their road or something.

I still like Lokomotiv's stadium 10x over this one...those stands are steep and the outer design is more complex and better then CSKA's.
Also i think Luzhniki should be left back, it's a communist stadium with a huge athletics track and the stands are very oval.

That's an interesting design. I guess that the purpose of such a shape of the roof was to supply enough light for the grass, but still I can't help the feeling that the architect was drunk while designing it ;). Yes, I think I like it overall.

For me they should have shortened the tower it is too prominant, the design is fine and I understand the economics as to why they are building it but it towers over the stadium and detracts from what is a very nice design.

The foundation ditch for arena is already dug. Workers now building two floors of an underground parking on 1400 places, which will pass on all perimetre of stadium. The base under the main tower is already ready.
For today they have approached to reception of the total expertise. They are planning to finish a "zero cycle" for 7-8 months, to leave the earth.
Construction is planning to finish by 2011.

The rent for the ground by FC CSKA was ended in 2009, and they didn't finish the stadium (economic crisis..). Ministry of Defence (who owns this ground there) and club will decide next actions in court at March, 18.
If MoD will not prolong rent, they themselves will build the stadium and CSKA will rent it.
If MoD will prolong rent, CSKA will build it and will own it.

Russia needs to diversify and open up it's economy. Allow private land ownership and it'll be as prosperous as anywhere. Russia should be the wealthiest nation in the world with all the natural wealth it has. You need new management.

The American credit issues are more to do with their banks failure to do due diligence on who they lend money to. It stopped few months ago.

On 20 April both sides are planning to sign a "peace treaty" (or how it calls?).
Minister of Defense withdrew its claim. During the month the construction can restart.

There were problems with land's property rights. It's all not about money but about documents. Club have enough money. All complications has been solved by now. Since this year new owner of the land is PFC CSKA Moscow. The club starts to build the stadium again.The administration promised to complete a construction at 2013.

Why? CSKA has an average league attendance around 10-15k (it was 15k in Luzhniki, less than 10k in the smaller stadium they used last season), and as far as I know, it never has been much higher. In European matches, they got around 50k against ManU and Inter last year, but otherwise, they were hardly above the domestic level. I would expect attendances to rise in a shiny, new stadium that belongs to the club, but there's plenty of room between 15k and a 30k capacity... And I believe it's much better for both club and fans to have a stadium that is at least half-filled in most matches and being sold out in the bigger ties than mostly playing in an empty stadium.

30 k is a proper capacity for CSKA, maybe to low. When you move in a new stadium you can even double the attendance.

Don't need to forget that the currently CSKA plays in Khimki, the town ouside the Moscow borders. It's very uncomfortable for the fans to travel at this town (it need to use urban train or the metro+bus). I'm think that attendance must be increase when this stadium will be completed.

For example the average attendance of home matches in Moscow was 15.917 (2007), 16.398 (2008), 16.241 (2009) and fell to 13.021 when they started to play in Khimki (2010).

The same situation with Dynamo - 13.333 (2006), 12.867 (2007), 13.700 (2008) at own stadium and 7.585 (2009) and 7.151 (2010) at stadium in Khimki.

Yes, not so far from the sportive complex CSKA (which included pool, ice arena, basketball hall, etc.).

— Что нового по стадиону ЦСКА?
— Проблем нет. Строители уже заходят на площадку. Город вот-вот должен дать разрешение. Пока мы получили аварийное разрешение. Нам надо чуть-чуть подправить кое-что с зимы, чтобы не завалился котлован. Думаю, что вот-вот начнут заливать бетон. А может, уже начали. Я просто пропустил неделю, потому что болел. Но то, что строители уже начали вязать арматуру, – это факт.

— Для болельщиков очень принципиален момент, кто построит стадион быстрее – ЦСКА или "Спартак". А для вас?
— Для меня важно построить. Чтобы игроки вместе с болельщиками и руководством страны пришли туда и могли разрезать ленточку. Чтобы мы играли на своём стадионе, а не мыкались по арендам. Важно, чтобы это было качественно построено. И удобно для болельщиков и команды. Чтобы стадион был настоящим домом для зрителей и игроков. А кто постоит на месяц раньше или позже, меня абсолютно не волнует. Я даже на секунду не задумываюсь над этим.

— Есть чёткие планы по срокам?
— Надеюсь, это будет конец 2012 года, и второй круг чемпионата-2012/13 мы начнём на своей арене.

Юг. Работает человек 10. Начали заливать стену между полем и трибуной, сохнет колонна, готовят к заливке помещение рядом с башней. Видимо скоро начнут делать пол -1го этажа (ну или потолок -2го кому как удобнее)

Участок башни. "Нашли" все сваи, сейчас, видимо, наращивают арматуру, чтобы залить всё это первым слоем бетона под гидроизоляцию. Трактор вроде-как вывозил землю...

Техника. Привезли кабину башенного крана! Видимо для Запада и Башни. / Краны, бетононасос. Возле маленького эксковатора стоит "первый камень" стадиона/ Бобкэт / Бетономешалки, та что левее - подаёт бетон для стены на Юге, та что справа - для плиты Востока. Рядом с ней кстати противовесы для башенного крана (бетонные блоки), только что они тут делают если логичнее представить их на Западе у Башни... Кстати, если кто забыл, возле Юго-Восточного угла уже давно лежат части башни башенного крана.

Юго-Восточный угол. Лежит узкая опалубка (такая нужна для колонн). Врятли, конечно, продолжат строить угол сейчас, а это значит, что внизу на Юге она уже не нужна - почти все колонны этажа сделали. Она может пригодиться на Востоке, или полежит тут, пока не начнут делать колонны следующего этажа на Юге.

Юг. Делают перекрытия, кладут арматуру. Тут теперь только этим и будут заниматься - все колонны и стены сделаны (кроме внешней, ну и того куска трибуны возле башни там надо начиная с плиты всё делать). Кстати кран на этой трибуне не работал.

Восток. Тут людей меньше всего. Собрали 3й кран. И сразу его задействовали - заливают стену. Также делают колонны.

Юго-Восточный угол. Продолжают потихоньку засыпать, попутно делая гидроизоляцию. Срезанные шпунты разрезают вдоль - чтобы там небыло земли (да и перевозить так удобнее)

Собственно третий кран. Вопрос только почему он такой короткий ? Скосили кусты у северной трибуны. Если приглядеться то возле толстых труб воткнуты прутья арматуры. Может начнут копать скоро ? Тут как раз кран низкий, но с длинной стрелой появился чтобы перемещать грузы на "поле" через котлован северной трибуны ... Хотя, может, кусты просто загораживали вид из окна штаба строительства.

So what happend to that agreement that the club and the council came to in April was it? actually its a little more complicated than that. in fact the last bureaucratic issue was resolved quite recently (a few weeks ago).why didnt construction of the stadium resume? i think its a matter of money. Giner hasnt any oil derricks (Spartak), no natural gas (Zenit) and has no right to recieve state money as opposed to kazan (Universiade-2013) and Sochi.
