Looks very similar to the u/c One island east. Same height too. This is a little more dramatic though.

final's good, much better than the Taipei 101 topped with Kingkey Crown that's got a SWFC hole punched in upside down while drepped by CITIC excert gaps all together built on a base that's inspired by Jinmao.

The orignal prop could be called something like a taste of modern China.

is the green tarp there to protect people on the ground from falling objects?

to protect workers from becoming falling objects.

I think it's a wind shield to let the concrete dry on certain levels; as the tower moves up you'll see the tarp being removed from the lower levels. Also it probably has some safety aspect, but I've also seen buildings in China without this, so idk.

bamboo is still used all over China/ SE Asia because its stronger than steel, renewable (some species can grow 6ft in a day), and most importantly flexible, especially during monsoon/ typhoon season.

yep, its meant to be the newest eco material - light, amazingly strong, relatively heat resistant, malleable and most importantly renewable. Wood takes 20 years to be harvested, bamboo one year for the equivalent amount. Most woods, metals and plastics are replaceable with bamboo.

The architect website published a round 300m height, but it seems indeed 286m. CTBUH claims 290m? Well, they're wrong very often, and this time isn't an exception. People shouldn't pay much attention to Emporis and CTBUH, too many weird errors.

as for the height, Im not sure the building is topped out yet. I think there is a spire/fin structure on the top that obviously hasn't been built/installed. I think this will end up being 300m.
