It looks like skyscrapers were just built at random points throughout the city... there's no attempt to create an organized or aesthetically pleasing "skyline". In addition, the buildings themselves, as well as the city as a whole, are not very attractive.

9/10 for the city that I've seen with my own eyes and 1/10 for how it looks in fox1's pictures.

Don't get me wrong, fox1, I like your photos but to invite people to judge the skyline based on that is like rating New York City after watching "Taxi Driver".

Thank you for the pics. The sheer height of some of the buildings in China is quite remarkable. As much as I am lookging forward to South American cities, I think Asian cities are going to blow me away. As for Nanjing, I give it a 5.5 based on the number of tall buildings and the density.

snake... i love your photos! it's not crappy areas and crappy days. they are mostly central Nanjing and also, almost all of those original pics are taken on nice days in Nanjing. Nanjing is the sixth most polluted city in the world. clear blue sky days are very few and far between there. still, i love NJ! :)

Let me show the picture you took. The black power line exists in every country's cities. but People who took cities' pictures through these lines were rare. ;)

and you know... you are welcome to criticize any of my pics. they are just ordinary...some good some bad. the one that is a little blurry, (like i said before)... a lot of that is the scanner, but it is also not the camera at all... as you can see in the similar evening shot from the same place that is similar on Page 1.

i feel deeply offended as a nanjing native by your pictures and your words. i cannot stand and watch my homecity being abused like that!
i ve never seen a person as nasty as you, saying love nanjing but actually hate it!
nanjing has never been a sixed polluted city in china, its environment is definitely above upper average. its virescence level is one of the best among asia!
nanjing is nothing like your awful photos. it is very beautiful with a nice urban hill park and fantastic waterfront view. i can get even more ugly pic from your hometown, sydney if i want to.
you ausis are totally hopeless and disgusting.
let see a real nanjing

#2: i show grit, and i take photos of grit in every single city I go to, no matter where.

8/10 - Fairly dense with a lot of tall buildings. My only critiscism, and this is only slight, is that the towers appear to be randomly spread out throughout the city. Overall quite good though.

the new tallest only has a couple friends nearby. i have to agree with some. it is a huge skyline and often times they are hard to rate as there are bits and pieces everywhere. i gave it a 6 but i also expect in the coming years that will change.

im sorry, i hate chinese skylines and this is a good example why, they try to like idk make their cities seem impressive with massive buildings and look at those pictures, you have 1 massive building then these tiny buildings around it, im not saying all their skylines are bad, but most are terrible for this exact reasons, and then the building sit partially empty, i wish they wouldn't try so hard to seem impressive and just build out of demand not to make a statement i give this a 1/10

Looks great and it radiates urbanity in it's pure form. Yet I wouldn't want to live there....Though some aspects like the railway station are very nice indeed this city, just like all other Chinese cities, lacks a happy atmosphere.

I think they're doing a great job, but there is still much work to be done. 8/10

yeah, from the air, the city doest look that appealling, but if you visit the city youself, you will love her. very walkable, very green ,very cultural,very histrical.

I like Nanjing. It seemed greener and more organised than other Chinese cities when I visited. The city wall was great too!
