As soon as almost everyone knows about the look of two major kazakh capitals Almaty & Astana i would like you to introduse another city - Aktau (Aqtau how it should be right written in kazak)

Aqtau or Aktau (Kazakh:Aqtau Russian: Актау - Aktau) is a city in Kazakhstan's Mangyshlak Peninsula and a seaport on the Caspian Sea. The absolute location of Aqtau is latitude 43°46′0″N, 51°12′0″E. The population is 143,400 (1999 census) The approximate population as of 2006 is 175,000 people. It is the capital of Mangghystau Province. Aqtau means "white mountain" in Kazakh, so named after the cliffs overlooking the sea.

Aqtau was created by Soviet engineers after large amounts of crude oil was discovered. Because Aqtau was first a military city, its streets have no names and all addresses in Aqtau consist of three numbers: the block number, the building number and the apartment/suite/room number.

In 1964, Aqtau's name was changed to Shevchenko (Ukrainian: Шевченко) to honour the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, who was once sent away to this remote location because of his political separatism . The city was renamed Aqtau in 1992 after Soviet Union dissolved. Aqtau was once the site of a nuclear power station. The BN-350 FBR went online in 1973, and closed in 1999. In addition to providing power for the city, BN-350 was also used for producing plutonium and for desalination to supply fresh water to the city.

The area code of the city is 3292.

Yeah, that's true and I can't wait to see what will be there after building the colossal project - Aqtau city. I saw the the promo movie about this city. It was unbelievable!

Money they have, climate is ok (not perfect thought - at least for 4 months they can have people)

Unfortunately, i could not. because it's unreal. As there is competition for this project, information is secret. I saw it on TV and i just can say: impressive!!! Some details: presentation is a lil' dreamy (whale is diving, unicorn is flying etc.), i was amazed by giant wheel of review like "London Eye" but with restaurant in cabins.

I would like to know whether competition has any results and who has won...
