I heard weird stories about SAMA Air. My friend is a stewart in it and he says many incidents has happened since last 2 years. Incidents like smoke filling in Cockpit...water dripping from Aircons....lights failure during night flight..and even engine turning off while in air ...... I rather go with NAS. :(

hey guys how r u all

This is my first time here
it is nice to see our airlines companies pics but my advice to u all don't try to fly in any of them

Maybe Armco is ok if u have a chance

Saudi air line is so poor now they don't have aircraft so they rent bad ones from Turkish airlines

sama always late and I have really bad experience with them
nas seems to be ok but u have to wait long time to buy the ticket if u don't have visa or MasterCard to pay online

and guys did u know that my last time traveling from Riyadh to jeddah via sama that I spent 6 hours waiting 4 the flight and the airplane doesn't arrived yet
So i asked them to refined my money and I canceled my tripe
They r so f ****** bad I hate them

IMO, Saudi Arabian Airlines Is NOT poor, just business strategy maybe? Saudia is also renting/Leasing planes from Iberia Airlines of Spain which are quite old and being used for Saudia's flights to Far Eastern countries like Indonesia and the Philippines.

Saudi airlines needs to be more organized especially in dealing with people on board flights. A fight nearly broke out during one of my flights from paris to jiddah! But ofcourse it wasn't a big problem for us ppl went about trying to break it up. if that happend on other planes they'd emergency land maybe lol

Anyway, I really want to fly on a Saudi Arabian MD-90. That's one of my dreams before they go away. JED-MED-RUH is a possibility. These planes look wonderful. If I were a Saudi prince I would turn one of these into my luxury jet.

^^^ do you really think that every saudi prince has a jet?? come on man if you're flying first class from Riyadh to D.C or N.Y.C I'm sure you will some of them.
Don't tell me about al-Waleed Bin Talal, because everyone knows how he worked to build his "empire" throw his investments.and believe me, there is so many Saudis are much wealthier than most of the royalty.

haha....I'm not sure how many Saudi princes there are. Maybe if I were a prince I would sit in the back of the MD-90 so I can listen to the wonderful engines. :)

I'll P.M. you if I need any help visiting the Kingdom. I'm still in research mode and I'm finding more and more that I like. :)

I flew on a Saudia MD-90 from Riyadh-Doha last month :)

Its a beautiful plane, amazing experience, when you sit at the front of the plane, you can't hear the engines at all, its as if your gliding silently

It's soo different than larger aircraft such as the the 777 or 747, when you look outside the window, you feel like your hanging by a thread, whereas in the larger planes, you fell like your in some sort of large secure vehicle

I rarely sit in front of a plane because I like to sit just behind the wing or back just a couple seats in front of the engine if on an MD-80(never been on a -90 or Boeing 717), CRJ or ERJ-135, -40, or 45.

I did sit in front of an MD-80 once and was surprised at how quiet it was but I love the sound of the engines so I missed that. It did seem a bit scary because it sounds like the engines aren't even running. So if people like quiet the first class of the MD- short haul series is good. :)

If I go to Saudi Arabia I hope the cheapest fare includes an international leg on Saudi Arabian. Whenever I visit a country it's almost a requirement that I try a domestic flight in any way possible. I got to do it in the UK, Italy and Jamaica so hopefully Saudi Arabia will be next....if I can get someone on the phone at the Saudi Arabian embassy. :ohno:

^^^ actually I flew for the first time on it last summer when my Belgian friend came to visit me in Jeddah.
we flew on it to Abha (mountainous city in the south around 1 and a half hour flying from Jeddah) and I swear to god you well feel the difference from the moment you set in your seat!!
for me,I didn't like! for some reason I felt some thing wrong is in there!

Now that sounds like fun. I was looking up Abha and it looks beautiful. Again it is tough finding information on places in Saudi Arabia but I was surprised to see a flight from Jeddah to Abha is only $51 US and on an MD-90. :D

Here are some recent pictures from Airliners.net with Saudi Arabian's new A330. I hope they never change the Saudi Arabian livery, it looks beautiful.
