Chosen Soren is the criminal organization, something like the Triad and the Schutzstaffel of Kim Jong-il, has been always performing myriad criminal acts systematically.
Besides, it is far from the representative of koreans in Japan. (The number of the adherents to this filthy constitution is less than 5% of Koreans in Japan). Chosen Soren is the system in order to exploit koreans as well.

The reason Chongryun was particularly successful in Japan is because when ethnic Koreans were struggling to survive in Japan, Kim Il-sung, the former leader of North Korea decades ago, provided much assistance to them, like building schools. This is why, beyond all common sense, there are many ethnic Koreans in Japan who are still loyal to North Korea, despite the current socio-political situation of Korea(i.e. South Korea vs. North Korea).

They take advantage of the Zainichi Korean's longing for their home country in order to prop up the North Korean government (Kim dynasty?)

coldstar, I have relatives in Japan who are Zainichi Koreans. Chongryun still has a strong presense in Japan, especially as a cultural institution that help Zainichi Koreans carry on their cultural heritage. But then again, I believe Chongryun will eventually falter over time. Hopefully, some other institution will take its role.
