I actually don't like that picture very much. I think a picture looking up the bay would have been nicer and more flattering to the city.

I like it because it makes our skyline appear more impressive lol.

I had to take a double take. I thought it was another city. I love it.

It's actually not that flattering of an angle anymore... The angle means that almost all of southern DT is hidden, instead of being visible to the left, like if this shot was taken further east, with a heading more to the southwest... My guess is that something like the roof of KForce, GTE federal Credit Union, or somewhere along the I-275 to I-4 flyover is the best angle of the skyline right now.

One of us has to go to a Bayshore tower and take that pick.

You know where a suprisingly flattering vantage point for the city is from the HCC web cam. It really makes downtown look really long and dense in the center. You can see from the federal courthouse to the bayshore condo's in one shot, and you pretty much see every building in between. ps. It also has some views of Tampa bay (not hillsborough bay) and the new construction of the flyover ramp to the airport.

I think I remember seeing this pic at flickr. I like the angle and it really leaves me hoping that Venu and Tampa Tower II will eventually add to the skyline. :)
