It's the 5º tallest tower in Dubai.

The construction finished in 2009.

Description
If ever built the tower will have 3,000 luxury townhomes, a 1,000 six star hotel, 500 standard offices, a 50,000 square meter convention and sports arena, a 23,000-space car park, and a shopping mall.

Modern Magnetic levitation wagons are designed to carry up to five automobiles with people in them, will run a spiral ramp around the tower, carrying people to their desired floor of the building.

Hmm, are visions allowed to be posted here? I thought this was only for projects that are either actually getting built or serious proposals.
What's true is this will never be built since the height limit in that area is around 200m because of nearby airport

This complex was proposed by the consorcium who promoted the MAGLEV system for the Dubai Metro, and here was suposed to be also the Main Station.

However Dubai choose a conventional LRT system for the Metro (both underground and on a elevated tracks) so with the Maglev dead, so was this project.

What Malec said about the height restriction in the area is true, however this was cancelled before the restrictions were imposed.

Hope this clears everything about this project so hopefully no BS will be posted, and the mods can even close this thread.

Plus that was NOT the design of the proposed project, just an amatorial cheap rendering, propably by someone not even related to the project.
