I was looking over things today and DT tampa is updated on Google Earth! Don't know if that is the same for more of the area. The pictures aren't as young as I'd like. I've used Skypoint as the waypoint on the pictures and I'm guessing these are from 2005 -- with the building only about to have the first parking floor completed... I'm not sure though.

Yeah, they just updated cuz Microsoft's has been on those pictures for a long time.

They updated maps.google.com too,

I had noticed the Tampa update on google maps as well, and many more US cities seem to be getting better aerial coverage as time goes on. I don't know what I would do without google maps!

If you ever use zillow.com you can also get a "birds eye view" of homes in Hillsborough now. Pretty neat.

It's certain November/December. Skypoint is still framing out the second floor (or so it seemed) while Embassy Suites is topped out but still a ways from completion.

EDIT:

Definately December 2005. They've completed the 2nd floor on Skypoint and are working on laying the third in the image. You can see (with thanks to the Skypoint cam) this puts it about a week before Christmas, 2005.
