That is an great example how to build towers which fit very well in the surroundings. On top of that the ministry buildings improve the skyline.

Are these new crane structures on the roof permanent? I hope they are foldable, so they won't be in sight always.

I am afraid they're not. They will be used as glass-washing cranes? I think also some obstruction lights will be added on top.

Last week i was here (http://maps.google.nl/maps?hl=nl&ll=52.078487,4.319472&spn=0.000007,0.004801&t=m&z=18&layer=c&cbll=52.078603,4.319532&panoid=gmSt7xzJLwIDdsAmfL_wPw&cbp=12,75.03,,0,-16.79), and i noticed the structures on top of the towers. The crane are even higher than the crowns themselves. The towers designed with lots of vertical lines which are all ending in pillars (crown elements). Now these vertical lines are blocked on top with a horizontal barrier of some foreign element. That is realy a shame.

There is also a crane installed on the Kroon building, but you never see it on top of the tower unless they are washing the windows. So it is possible.

when you come to the haque this month, put thick clothes on becourse it's a beautifull blue sky but bittercold...exellent to make colourfull pictures of the city :)

I don't get get that feeling with these buildings. I have been inside and maybe going to live in the "green" one. From the inside it doesn't feel like a prison, it is very light inside. The architecture also fits the naerby old town better in my opinion.

It's a matter of taste because I don't like the most glass building they are building al over the world..

Im not sure if i like it. From the ground looking up it looks really amazing, almost like you are walking on a new york city block, but like in the first picture by MrBacon its like a huge empty wall saying absolutely nothing. The New Babylon project is a thousand times more beautiful.
