That is an great example how to build towers which fit very well in the surroundings. On top of that the ministry buildings improve the skyline.

Torch January 30th, 2012, 06:46 PM That is an great example how to build towers which fit very well in the surroundings. On top of that the ministry buildings improve the skyline. citysight January 30th, 2012, 08:59 PM ^^I totaly agree:cheers: tim1807 January 31st, 2012, 02:01 PM Because they form half of the skyline by itself. Godius January 31st, 2012, 02:11 PM I like the transition of style from the classical-buildings in front to the modern high-rise in the background. Kiboko January 31st, 2012, 04:34 PM http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/8558/img6441kopie1.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/72/img6441kopie1.jpg/) Uploaded with ImageShack.us (http://imageshack.us) & Clipped from the above picture from Deltametropolis Are these new crane structures on the roof permanent? I hope they are foldable, so they won't be in sight always. EuroMaster January 31st, 2012, 05:23 PM I am afraid they're not. They will be used as glass-washing cranes? I think also some obstruction lights will be added on top. citysight January 31st, 2012, 08:24 PM I don't really have a problem with these windowwashingcranes ! most people won't notice them from streetlevel!:) Kiboko January 31st, 2012, 10:06 PM most people won't notice them from streetlevel!:)They can be easily seen from streetlevel. Last week i was here (http://maps.google.nl/maps?hl=nl&ll=52.078487,4.319472&spn=0.000007,0.004801&t=m&z=18&layer=c&cbll=52.078603,4.319532&panoid=gmSt7xzJLwIDdsAmfL_wPw&cbp=12,75.03,,0,-16.79), and i noticed the structures on top of the towers. The crane are even higher than the crowns themselves. The towers designed with lots of vertical lines which are all ending in pillars (crown elements). Now these vertical lines are blocked on top with a horizontal barrier of some foreign element. That is realy a shame. There is also a crane installed on the Kroon building, but you never see it on top of the tower unless they are washing the windows. So it is possible. citysight February 1st, 2012, 04:28 PM oke' kiboko, maby i will visit Den Haque soon to experience it myself...and make some photo's ! Pz0 February 1st, 2012, 06:25 PM I like that Hague buildings solidity! Everything not scattered and tidy. Why must they have to make prison like windows? Why? What a shame! MR. Bacon February 5th, 2012, 12:21 PM Ugly buildings. Why must they have to make prison like windows? Why? What a shame! Haha, this is not your cup of thea ;) I don't get get that feeling with these buildings. I have been inside and maybe going to live in the "green" one. From the inside it doesn't feel like a prison, it is very light inside. The architecture also fits the naerby old town better in my opinion. It's a matter of taste because I don't like the most glass building they are building al over the world.. Picture from the inside http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/3643/dsc0021bewerkt.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/834/dsc0021bewerkt.jpg/) Uploaded with ImageShack.us (http://imageshack.us) erbse February 5th, 2012, 01:11 PM I don't get get that feeling with these buildings. Bacon February 5th, 2012, 01:39 PM But it is true that it is not realy green lol http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/970/dsc0073bewerkt.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/23/dsc0073bewerkt.jpg/)Uploaded with ImageShack.us (http://imageshack.us) erbse February 5th, 2012, 03:31 PM Not at all, pal. ;) But the color doesn't really matter here, having an appartment up there must be gorgeous. Would you rent or buy? How much is it, out of curiosity? And btw, are there roof terraces or something located on those setbacks of the tower/s? Dyl070_DH February 5th, 2012, 05:29 PM The Penthouse is €999.950,- http://www.dekroondenhaag.nl/english.html citysight February 5th, 2012, 06:37 PM Wow great appatment...what a view over the city  It wou;d be nice to spent in a prison like that:tongue2: Kiboko February 5th, 2012, 06:59 PM The windowwashingcranes are gone now?? citysight February 6th, 2012, 03:42 PM ^^better !! so now they use something else to clean it:) Eduardo L. I also like the shadowy Gotham City character they seem to have (and how they have an individual cladding type). Dyl070_DH February 11th, 2012, 07:51 PM ^^ those two traditional Dutch houses squashed together are nicknamed: The, Hague Tits, LOL Oranje Strijder February 12th, 2012, 09:49 PM I like how these towers overshadow that weird Post Modern building (the one that looks like two traditional Dutch houses squashed together), they seem to blot it out of the skyline. Its like a European Central Park scene  TweedeMan March 12th, 2012, 07:30 PM Im not sure if i like it. From the ground looking up it looks really amazing, almost like you are walking on a new york city block, but like in the first picture by MrBacon its like a huge empty wall saying absolutely nothing.
