Por otro lado, hay varias versiones que halle en internet. Una dice que habia gente que ejercia la curanderia en Escazu y que de ahi viene el nombre.Otra que cuando se declaró como oficial la religión catolica en Costa Rica algunas personas residentes en Escazú y que practicaban la religion judia se escondian para realizar sus servicios religiosos y la gente empezo a decir que eran actos de brujeria.

La leyenda de la Bruja Zárate en Aserri se debe a una mujer de apellido Zárate que estaba enamorada del gobernador de dicha poblacion, pero el español no le dio importancia por lo que ella juró venganza y al practicar artes de brujeria convirtió a Aserrí en una piedra (la Piedra),a su gente en animales y al gobernador en un pavo real. La leyenda dice que la gente le pedia ayuda a la bruja y esta daba verduras que se convertian en piezas de oro...

esta bonito el recorrido pero las fotos no muestran mucho de la parte más bonita de escazu que son las montañas con todos los edificios.
