The highest buildings in Wroclaw

The most powerful building in the world is Bordj Khalifa (828 m) * in Dubai.

The list of the highest free-standing buildings of our globe there is also a Canton Tower (610 m) in China and Canada CN Tower (553 m) also called the "roof of the world. "

Classifieds these giants can not boast. The capital of Lower Silesia, the town is dominated by Cathedral (97.5 m), the Garrison Church (91 m), academician Lipstick (85 m) and built several months, the Sky Tower (212 m), which upon completion will be the tallest building in Poland.

Sky Tower ma już 158 metrów

Prace na budowie idą pełną parą.

W tej chwili jest tam zatrudnionych około 800 robotników, część prac wykonują nocą. Budynek obecnie ma 40 pięter, docelowo będzie miał 51 - czyli 212 metrów wysokości.

- Tempo prac to trzy piętra miesięcznie. Docelową wysokość osiągniemy jeszcze w tym roku - mówi kierownik budowy Tomasz Kuleszo.

Cały wieżowiec będzie jednak oddany do użytku jesienią 2012 roku. Wcześniej, bo w drugim kwartale przyszłego roku, otwarta zostanie galeria handlowa, w najniższym budynku wrocławskiego wieżowca.

I think the base doesn't really fit the tower. Besides the whole thing looking out of place there which I agree to, perhaps they should have started with 2-3 smaller towers instead of a big one. But well, we'll see how things are going. Wroclaw is doing pretty well after all and might need more exclusive rental space soon.

Only shopping mall will ready before the EURO2012. Towers with offices and apartments will ready in 1 year time after tournament.

Can't really say that I like the cladding. IMO it would have looked much better if they would have cladded it entirely with highly reflective glass.

The protective film hasnt been removed yet.

Judging by all those mounds on the podium roof (Post 549, picture 3), they are still going to plant some shrubs and trees up there like some of the renders have shown. It'll look fantastic from the air once those are in.

I like this picture a lot - it shows a new and modern face of Wrocław, a city that can easily compete with many European cities and capitals such as Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, Goteborg, Bremen, Stuttgart, Bratislava, Zagreb, Bologna or Genova :okay:

wow!, totally beautiful and elegant.

I haven't checked this thread in a while, the tower has turned out even better than I thought it would!

What an impressive building for such a city. Huge impact on the skyline.

The tower itself is really good, the only thing that struck me is that it looks shorter than its real height. I'd say a 190 meters tall tower.
