Malt July 7th, 2007, 06:44 AM I like it
Maroon Grown July 7th, 2007, 08:07 AM pretty good. maybe toowong will turn into a chatswood of brisbane
TOCC July 7th, 2007, 08:13 PM nothing spectacular, though it is a fairly nice building for its size and location.
neilo63 July 8th, 2007, 03:17 AM I like it because we wont see the back of it and it has a bit of visual interest and good height. So whats the go with them having above ground parking? Is it really too much effort to dig down and free up some extra floors for other uses? Either way Toowong will look like a mini CBD once Stockland develop their plot too.
Brissy4me July 8th, 2007, 09:07 AM Toowong is booming. A great location. It has citycat, rail and bus, as well as a couple of well known pubs like the RE and the Regatta. This will be ideal for uni students.
BrizzyChris July 8th, 2007, 09:41 AM Not too bad. If this and the other one get approved, it will make a huge impact on Toowong.
nagelixin July 8th, 2007, 12:24 PM I recall a couple of years ago hearing that the building on the left had a chronic mould issue. All we need now is for the (dumped) toowong bypass to be built and the area will boom even more.
Danubis July 8th, 2007, 01:07 PM so about 60m?
BrizzyChris April 3rd, 2008, 09:02 AM What ever became of this?
KJBrissy April 3rd, 2008, 09:08 AM Refused Feb 1 this year.
Dam.
brisbanite April 4th, 2008, 03:03 AM Was it a height issue?
KJBrissy April 22nd, 2008, 10:55 AM Yes.
However there is something fishy about the knock back. They said it was just a height and size issue, however normally they would just condition a lower height, whereas here that just didn't approve the application.
I smell a rat!!
BrizzyChris April 22nd, 2008, 02:27 PM WTF. This should be the minimum height for any new projects in central Toowong.
I asked this on another thread, but didn't get an answer. Is there a local structure plan in place for Toowong?
KJBrissy April 23rd, 2008, 12:51 AM Not a structure plan from what I know, but they do have a local plan.

It stinks alright, so much for the TOD's they want to incorporate. I thought this was a perfect spot for a 19story building. How can it be a height issue when Toowong Tower is a stones's throw away from it?
KJBrissy April 23rd, 2008, 02:39 AM They say it is in the transition section between the core and the lower density area. I think some councillors have got in here somehow and altered the application process.
Brizzy-Mike April 23rd, 2008, 03:28 AM Another example of the anti-development attitude.
Brizzy-Mike April 23rd, 2008, 03:28 AM Anyone know what the height limit at this location was?
KJBrissy April 23rd, 2008, 03:36 AM It will be in City Plan on the BCC website. Find the Toowong Local Plan
