I've always liked Mediterranean architecture, both old and new are amazing. But I kinda like the old Mediterranean style (with the stone, arches, and iron details). Post some pics of your country's old and new architecture if you want as well. Here's some pics of architecture of Palestine/Israel.

Wow very stunning indeed :)

I couldn't find good pictures of old Moroccan architecture. The alleys in the old Medinas are usually narrow and very confusing. The old houses will look simple almost poor from the outside except from the spectacular door/gate. And they will be just huge and splendid inside with beautiful Moorish carvings on the walls and the ceilings. The middle of the houses will be an open area with a fountain usually.

The cool thing in Morocco is that even the newer hourses will have old style furniture and carvings depending on the person's budget.

Some of the pictures that Isr.il posted are Palestinian architecture. During the 1948, many of the Zionist immigrant stole the building and Palestinian homes. There are many ruined Palestinian houses pre-1948 in Jaffa, Haifa, Akko, many cities in Israel today. Israelis claim it is Israeli architecture. Like they tried to steal the Palestinian Orient House in Jerusalem. The only Israeli architecture are the modern building in Tel Aviv and few other places.

Thank you very much. It's Moorish style regardless of the religion I think. These are pictures of Moroccan synagogues. We have many manychurches as well but they were mostly built European style by either the French, the Spaniards or the Portuguese when we were colonized. I don't know whether we have any Moorish style churches.

Thanks everyone.
@Gamayun-It isn't; but ideally we'd like for that to happen. And we definitely don't want to just sell it.
For my grandfather, it was his house or rather home and he didn't even want to think about doing anything with it. He also didn't like to people visit (unless they were friends). Cheb Khaled wanted to film a video there once but he refused but my grandfather refused because like I said for him it was his "home".
However, now, after his death, we want to do sth. with it. Mainly because it takes an incredible amount of money to maintain it and if nobody lives in it it's just going to fall in ruins (my grandmother currently lives there...alone:nuts:; but she too would like to move). Nothing has been touched (in the sense of restored) since it was built in the 1930s (by my great grandfather). Even for example the chandeliers are original.

@Litrain- great photos of Beirut both the old and the new but esp. the old

I was born and raised in the United States, but my family are originally from Palestine. That doesn't make me an American. People in the United States are mixed. There are tons of different nationalities in the United States and in Israel. Palestinians are considered Arabs today, but genetically they are a mix of people. Many Palestinians trace their ancestry back to the time of the Canaanites, and thereby mixed with the many conquerers who settled and assimilated into the population. Canaanite culture is still very much prevalent in Palestinian culture. We can see this through much Palestinian artwork. Many paintings feature a woman as the central figure. This woman, Anat, the ancient goddess of the Canaanites, symbolizes the soul and the strength of Palestine.

Just like Lebanese believe their ancestor were Phoenicians.

^^ Thank you; you're very kind.
I'd say it's pretty expensive. I remember someone gave me an estimate as to how much he thinks it would cost (in today's money); I'll ask him tomorrow and tell you.
