San Francisco and "The Peninsula". San Francisco is the tip of the SF peninsula, but it is not part of "THe Peninsula". But definition, "The Peninsula" begins when you leave the city and enter San Mateo County to the south. "The Peninsula" is suburban; not SF
Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. Sure Brooklyn and Queens are on Long Island, but they are a part of NYC. Long Island officially begins when you drive east from Queens
