Make it three ;)

Germany is incorrect.

This leaves five, keep guessing!

Hint: City population > 200,000.

I voted France.

OK.

Hint: Not in France.

The correct country seems apparent right now. Please guess the city as well.

the trees look very much canadian?

Seems so. ;)

But you cannot find these blocks in Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, Halifax or Quebec City. ;)

Note: Some cities in United States and Netherlands (to lesser extent, Germany and France as well) do have similar vegetation to the pic.

What about Edmonton, Regina or Winnipeg?

What about Edmonton, Regina or Winnipeg?

That's in Winnipeg!

Here are some old photos taken in 2004 from Red River, Winnipeg.

Red River is always red. It flows from North Dakota, one of the most advanced agricultural state down the States. The river brings various kinds of sediments, fertilisers, including some harmful chemicals downstream, which gives its characteristic brown-red colour.

It could really be somewhere in Germany or Netherlands - by buildings, not vegetation ;)
