Thank you for posting pics of my former home, Den Haag. What a splendid city, btw, I don't remember but how many inches of snow does The Hague get? Very futuristic, also. I spent the first five years of my life here. I remember it well, actually.

Long live the international city of peace.

it seems like a city which embraces post-modernism.

Usualy we get rain coming over from Britain,during the winter if its cold enough it will come down in the form of snow most of the times preluding a warmfront,so even if it snows an inch or 5 it wont be on the streets for long.

Tolerable skyline, but the city does not seem to be pedestrian-friendly at all.

Very nice pictures! The Hague has definitely the best skyline in the Netherlands!

Tolerable skyline, but the city does not seem to be pedestrian-friendly at all.That's because these picure show only the CBD. On the other side of the skyline (pic 1) you can find a big historical downtown in which cars aren't allowed. ;)

^^ Den Haag has some very nice and unique buildings, but to call it the best skyline is a pretty bold statement.

@nastyathenian
Den Haag is actually a very pedestrian-friendly city. Like Ramses said there is a large car-free area in the city center and eventhough there is not a subway network, the public transport is excellent with trains, busses, trams and lightrail.

I don't know, I think it looks rather shattered, North American even (no pun intended). At least that's the image these photos conveyed to me, I just don't get that urban feel that radiates from so many other European cities. That's not to say there aren't great individual pieces of architecture in Hague.

Good photos though.
