What you see there,the concrete platform, is like phase 0, it was built in 1993,and has 2 spaces for ships. The capacity of this is way too small, thus the extension is under way.

A Duna menti Győr-Gönyű Országos Közforgalmú Kikötő közlekedési kapcsolatainak fejlesztését szolgáló bruttó 8,033 milliárd forintos beruházás július végére készül el - közölte az állami tulajdonú létesítménykezelő Észak-dunántúli Környezetvédelmi és Vízügyi Igazgatóság vezetője a beruházás helyszínén kedden sajtótájékoztatón.

Janák Emil igazgató elmondta: a környezetbarát infrastrukturális beruházás költségeinek 75 százalékát a Környezetvédelmi és Infrastruktúra Operatív Program (KIOP) biztosítja, a fennmaradó 25 százalékot a magyar állam teszi hozzá.

A fejlesztés keretében több mint 12 kilométer vasúti összeköttetés létesül a kikötő és a Budapest-Bécs közötti vasúti fővonal között, s további 6,4 kilométeres iparvágányt fektetnek le a kikötő területén. A vasút és az 1-es számú főút kereszteződésben közúti felüljárót és hozzá fel- és lehajtót építenek.

A kikötő területének egy részén teljes infrastruktúrát alakítanak ki, ami magába foglalja egyebek között a közműveket, a parkolót, az úthálózatot. A beruházás eredményeként megvalósul a vízi, a közúti és a vasúti közlekedés kapcsolatrendszere. A fejlesztés biztosítja a kikötő vasúti és közúti kapcsolatát az országos hálózathoz és egyben a pánerurópai közlekedési folyosóhoz. A beruházás hozzájárul az áruforgalom növekedéséhez.

A kivitelezés jelenleg 62 százalékos készültségi fokon áll. A korábbi, április végi befejezési határidő módosítását az tette szükségessé, hogy az infrastruktúrával ellátott területre a leendő felhasználók részéről többletigény jelentkezett a kikötőben.

Janák Emil az MTI kérdésére válaszolva közölte: a beruházás megtérülési ideje a prognózisok szerint 15 év, ehhez azonban a fejlesztést folytatni kell. A jelenlegi folyóvizes kikötőt medencés-állóvizes kikötővé kell alakítani, torkolatáthelyezéssel. Ez a beavatkozás vízszint rehabilitációt is jelentene, és a természeti értékek védelméhez is hozzájárulna.

The Intermodal Centre of the Győr-Gönyű National Public Port developed from €33 million of government and EU support creates a trimodal junction connecting the Gönyű port to Europe’s major road, railway and water networks.

Waterways connect the centre to the Benelux states, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States and to the ports of Scandinavian, British and Iberian countries. Gönyű port can also be accessed from the M1 motorway (E60) linking Vienna and Budapest. A siding will also be built from Győrszentiván station to the loading station, very close to the Vienna–Budapest double-track electric railway line. Three docks are in operation, one of which has a Ro-Ro ramp. A dock with three quays is also being rebuilt. The full range of public utilities are also in place.

The aim of the project, run by the North Transdanubian Environmental and Water Directorate, was to establish a modern logistics centre with rapid road and rail connections to the Pan-European transport corridor, ensuring the free flow of goods and environmentally friendly trading. Completion of the final stage of construction is planned for 2013 as part of a follow-up EU tender.
