Reda, thank you. :)

That concert marks beginning of an organization that will represent all European Muslims regardless of their ethnic origin, country and madhab. It will speak in the name of them and promote mainstream Islam.

However, there are many controversies.

First, British government is actively involved in it's creation (Tony Blair and prince Charles are coming to the concert). Idea came from our Reis-ul Ulema, Mustafa Ceric. He proposed it to the British government and it's seems they like it. That happened couple years ago (after 11/9) and a lot is already done.

Also, those who know Bosnia, also know that we follow Turkey foot by foot. If their secularism is under threat, so is ours. Our religious authorities are gaining to much power and their influence in politics is absolutely unacceptable. It's seems reis Ceric will be the head of that organization and I don't like that. He could misuse his authority and damage secular nature of our state. Though, he's not that stupid...

So, we will see what will come out of this...

Thank you for these informations, I think that it's a great idea even if it's gonna be a bit difficult since European Muslims are from different madhabs as you said.

Much cheaper of course.. Hostel is ~10eur/night, beer is max. 2 euros at the very best places, main dish is 2-3-4 euros, a calzone pizza is 0,5 euro in the bakery.. very tasty!

Absolutely.

There are both dirt cheep and ultra-luxurious accommodation. It's up to you to choose. Whole country is well connected with bus and train lines. Also, train tickets are famously cheep. Sights worth of seeing are well marked (if you travel with a car) and locals are helpful.

IMHO, the best thing would be to visit Split in Croatia, enjoy the sea for two or three days somewhere around Makarska, spend a day in Dubrovnik and then head to Bosnia and Herzegovina. First stop is Pocitelj, charming town from Ottoman times. After Pocitelj, a day in Mostar and then Sarajevo. If you have enough time and money, Tuzla and western Bosnia are nice to visit. Also, Banja Luka...

Btw. I just came back from trip to Croatia and Herzegovina. Here are some photos...

How do they reflect it over there? Or do a lot of people follows what's happening in Turkey?

Would you please tell me what you know about Turkish investments in Bosnia, I know Sisecam and Eti but thats about it. Do Turkish companies really employs a lot of people or some other countries more?

Bosnia is such a beatiful country and bosniaks are such gorgeous people.

Good luck to Bosnia. I hope we will co-operate more in order to make our countries richer and even more beatiful!

Yup, of course we are interested in what's happening in Turkey. Especially in Turkish EU application. Many feel if Turkey is to be rejected, the same will happen to us.

Economic and military cooperation is also important. Most Bosnian military officials are trained in USA and Turkey.

When it comes to politics, actually all main Bosniak parties are AKP-like, but without that fantastic handling of economy. Our president holds P.h.d in Islamic sciences and our late president was one of most important Muslim intellectuals in Europe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alija_Izetbegovic). Though, secular nature of the state is unchangeable. Period.

Our politics is extremely complex and parties I would prefer (secular, social democrats) unfortunately will never hold power. Any multinational party will, by time, become mainly Bosniak simply because Bosniaks are majority (around 50%). So, Croats and Serbs will always vote for nationalistic parties to avoid being ruled by Muslims. That's our greatest problem and cause of all post-war troubles.

Would you please tell me what you know about Turkish investments in Bosnia, I know Sisecam and Eti but thats about it. Do Turkish companies really employs a lot of people or some other countries more?

Not enough. There is so much more space for economic cooperation. Though, there is good will at both sides and thing are getting better.

However, main foreign companies are from "german speaking triangle" i.e. Gerrmy, Austria and Switzerland.

Good luck to Bosnia. I hope we will co-operate more in order to make our countries richer and even more beatiful!

yes, I guess they did deserve to win, but I'm not so sure they can keep up the economic trends this time because, well they've sold about everything there is to sell to foreign companies, the Turkish Telekom, the petroleum refining facilities, gold mines, harbours, airports, you name it they've sold it. Now there is more or less nothing else to sell we will be able to see wether they are truely good at economic management or wether they have managed to do so well thanks to selling all our assets without any true economic development.

nah, don't take it like that, the people who understand us best are usually always Bosnians, and I mean it.

Why? You can't really compare the adhesion of a nearly 70million people country to a small country like Bosnia&H.

That's true, but I doubt that large population is the only reason why Turkish EU future is questioned.
