New development across Country Village Hotel

There’s an ongoing site clearing and earthfilling activity at the former Tee Off Golf Driving Range along Villarin Street across Country Village Hotel in Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.

This area was the subject of a rumor I posted (HERE) several months ago of a big investment. It is still unclear if this development is related to the rumor back then. Work started just over the weekend for initial earthfilling as shown in the photos. The area is flat and well enclosed. The fact that it was once a golf driving range makes the place secure. You can still notice the tall steel frames which used to support the net to prevent golf balls from flying out of the property.

I looked it up at google-earth and measured the approximate area of the entire property (from wall to wall) to be approximately 160 meters by 90 meters or roughly 1.44 hectares. As shown below, the vicinity is good for similar investment like hotel, apartelles and the like.

Divisoria road concreting gets more funding

Some P19 million was added to the road concreting project at Divisoria this city as announced by Cagayan de Oro 2nd District Congressman Rufus Rodriguez. Because of this, the project will now include Capistrano Street up to City Hall area.

Together with the North (Tirso Neri) and South (RN Abejuela) Divisoria Roads, Capistrano Street is also a National Road which further connects to Vamenta Boulevard leading to Lumbia Airport.

Shown above and below are photos of the ongoing road concreting project along Tirso Neri Street fronting Development Bank of the Phils. (DBP).

PROJECT WATCH: One Montecarlo Hotel updates

Latest update of One Montecarlo Hotel located at Marfori Compound shows that steel frames of the 7-storey building are now erected along Hayes Street, the space formerly occupied by Balyahay Garden Cafe.

Based on the progress, it looks the hotel will be L-shaped. As seen in the photos, the two ends of the “L” have now reached the 7th storey level with only the middle part yet to go vertical and currently being occupied by the crane.

Last posted January 14, 2011, the two additional floors have been completed with work now focused on the exteriors.

There is now a tarp installed at the new Hyundai Showroom in Kauswagan right beside Polymedic Medical Plaza. Last update was February 21, 2011. As of now, the main frames of the showroom are now erected.
