I like it...another ho-hum 1000 foot building for Dubai. Cool design.

Of course we had a thread and Stephan23 created it even before the reorganisation of the forum. Imre was posting updates and Culwulla even posted the render for the first design.

H.H.H. Tower is a skyscraper under construction at Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The construction of the 72 floor H.H.H. Tower started at 2006. H.H.H. Tower is planned to be used as office and residential building. H.H.H. Tower was designed by architect Al Hashemi.

It's a very, I dunno...."mechanical-looking" thing. Best way I can describe. The blue glass is probably looking or going to look good.

This tower is really nice. The location is perfect...running through some suppertalls in Dubai.

This tower is really nice....Well, from what we've seen of the render the tower looks rather clunky. Tall, yes, and thin from side on, but it doesn't appear to be particularly stylish or attractive.

I'm thinking (hoping) that this will be one of the ones that looks much better than the renders suggest.

i'm sure it will look much better than on the renders. until now the design looks not so special in my opinion.

Growing steadily... Too bad it's situated next to a landmark tower like the dusit. Will look more average than it is...!

^^ That 291 m on Emporis is a complete different (Hotel) tower, proposed for the opposite side of SZR, as for skyscraperpage ... since when that is where infos on Dubai's projects have to be found (except Burj Dubai maybe). ;)

I drive from Al Ain City to Dubai, I start the Kilometer count once I start seeing Burj Dubai from 30.2 Km away, and 20 km away since you start to see the rest of ZR 300(SZR). ok honestly.......WoW!!:runaway:

My guess with part 2 the movie flick is in the part of robing EMAAR when selling the Palm Jebel Ali villas, then get to the top of the BD jump from 162 floor with a barachute flying to Jumirah Palm and to the villa that have the holicoptor stand where they can take the super chopper and fly to India or somewhere near by ( except Iran)and wake up the next day laying on the beach with $100 Billion that you wonder what they can spend it on! maybe building a new tallest tower.

^^ That's just a advertising billboard. The Palazzo Versace Hotel and Residence is miles away, just next to the D1 Tower (sister of the AUS tallest tower)

^^It is steady. Since 28 December 2007 just ~16 floors were constructed. That equals to approximately 3 floors per month. If they continue with this speed they will reach the top floor 10 months later.

But it doesn't look that tall !! :hm:

To me, HHHR looks definately around 190m, and calculated by floors, this could work: on the renderings, the spire appears to be as tall as about 12 floors, and so the average floor height would be 317 m/84 floors = 3,77 m (and thus roof height 272m + spire 45m). If my counting is correct, the 51st floor of the core has been started, and this should be about 192 meters.

Anyway, it's almost impossible to keep the eyes on the road driving down Sheikh Zayed Road :nuts:. Even here towards the Northeast, there are many impressive skyscrapers going up, like the Hotel JAL / Acico Twin Towers, that are even further up now at circa 200-210m, almost hiding Park Place on the recent pic.

And can somebody tell what's going up in the background? That's most likely another +200m-tower, too...

I'm really looking forward to seeing this finished. I hadn't paid much attention to this tower before but actually it's a pretty cool design. The concrete finish somewhat disguises its form but I think the cladding will make it much clearer and cleaner. It sure does look scruffy right now!

It's not a commercial tower. Most floors will be apartments, with probably office space at the bottom floors. Maybe Serviced Hotel Apartments will be there as well.

Looks interesting but i dont like the top part of the tower. Something is missing up there !

This is a massive tower! It's like 2 towers in one!

looks very tall in the first shot...i love this tower :cheers:

^^ In the fifth pic, HHHR looks huge and tall as well. I also like how the slanted roof takes shape.

One year ago, the core was only at about lv25 - that's almost one floor a week since then. HHHR is a winner among the Dubai skyscrapers! :)

Dubai is... GREAT!!! Another splendid tower almost on the top!!!

This picture has been taken almost a year ago.
Would be great if someone would make a photo from the same angle.
I think it will look entirely different. There has been so much progess ther.
Imre can't you go lend a helicopter and make some nice aerial pics :lol: .

Great pictures Imre. This tower is rising very fast. Seems like no economy crisis (الأزمة الأقتصادية, this theme is popular in songs nowadays in UAE) for it.

I just came back from a trip to Dubai this morning and stayed in the Crown plaza, next to this wonderful building :)

It nicely complements the Emirates towers.

You can clearly huge progress for the cladding on the left side of the tower. Compare april 5th to now. :cheers:

I dont really like the tower so far, but it might grow on me

to be honest it looks so kitsch.

The really huge one is the one next door Latifa tower, it look really thick!!!
but only 210 m when T/O

HHHR is a great addition to the skyline!

Also watch out for Carbon Nanotubes. If we can mass produce them... Yeah...
