yes bai the main uniwide building with some artistic touch sa exteriors. although not the whole building is being developed yet. siguro mga 1/3 sa whole uniwide pa.

what i love about the mall is their floor-to-ceiling glass panels on retail stores. Parkmall is highly successful in attracting shoppers/diners in Mandaue City. mind you, executives and regular employees from San Miguel, Coca Cola and nearby corporations flock to Parkmall. aside from the wide choices of good restaurants, they do their lunch and dinner meetings there because of its relaxing ambience. that's the hugely untapped market that Parkmall is able to capture. people from Lilo-an, Consolacion and Mandaue don't have to go to SM city, hassle parking and too crowded. I would love SM to build at least an SM Hypermarket in Danao City for instance, to decongest the shoppers in Cebu and Mandaue. i wish! :cool:

lahi pod tong raintree mall its all outdoor, nice building but wa kaayo ambiance.

there's an equal spread of airconditioning throughout the mall. it's way cooler than in SM and Ayala. but understandably this hasn't gone full blast yet. :)

I hope that the Boardwalk Mall won't be an idle mall, because for sure it is an additional hype and it in NRA. For me, the Boardwalk Mall and Parkmall were designed to create a need, a need for a new Cebuano lifestyle. It is unbelievable how the 12th ASEAN Summit in 2006 changed NRA. NRA is not a dream come true for the Cebuanos, but it is a vision that has been realized. SRP is another vision of the Cebuanos, and I won't be surprise if that vision will be realized 10 to 15 years from now. I hope that Cebuano visionaries won't forget to envision excellent infrastructure for transportation. The BRT vision is an excellent start for the future of Cebu transportation, and I hope that it wil be realized on or before 2015. I am crossing my fingers and toes for it.

Nice tree sculpture! This mall is very nice. The outdoor area it has a slightly similar feel to Greenbelt 3.

Hugaw kaayo tan-awn.. mura nag mga jungle vines. Something needs to be done 'bout those wires as that area's one of the busiest nightspots around. :(

Thanks guys! Parkmall is indeed a great place to hang out especially at night. Great food, great ambiance, cool breeze yet full of warm people + the sight of playful kids running around... and the best part is, the complex isn't even fully completed yet. Can't imagine how lively this place would be if everything would be operational, inside-out. :)

@ bai slimer: All I needed was a steady hand and a ton of patience. Since I was using a P&S digicam, I had to take multiple shots just to get at least one blur-less photo. Nevertheless, nagka blur lang gihapon. Thanks for the compliments though. Hehe. :)

no matter how nice and high tech the bulidings are ...if these spaghetti wirings are not dug underground...it still is very thirld world......construction should go hand in hand with palnning and technology........kakainis tingnan ang spaghetti wires .......kung 10 ang score ng project when u see the overall view and theres spaghetti wirings the scores becomes a 5.........poor planning

Aside from those metioned by others, another thing that caught my attention was PROJEKT it's much like the do-it-yourself furnitures of ikea which are flat packed in boxes. I think they just opened yesterday. According the saleslady, these are all locally manufactured (in Cebu) but of world class quality and design.

Aside from those metioned by others, another thing that caught my attention was PROJEKT it's much like the do-it-yourself furnitures of ikea which are flat packed in boxes. I think they just opened yesterday. According the saleslady, these are all locally manufactured (in Cebu) but of world class quality and design.

Positioning to be Cebu’s biggest value shopping destination, Parkmall has just opened at the Mandaue Reclamation Area.

After soft operating its Al Fresco area composed of outdoor and indoor restaurants and the biggest Save More outlet, Parkmall recently opened to the public its Atrium composed of its Home Zone and Kid’s Village components.

In an interview, James Co, Parkmall Managing Director said that currently the mall is 50 percent done as most of their junior anchors are already operational.

He said that the construction of the Garden Enclave component of the mall which will house resto bars, garden restaurants, and tourist center will be completed by the end of the year.

Right now, the Atrium’s ground floor is 70 percent occupied with close to 100 units for rent and some are already operational, most of which are lifestyle boutiques.

While the Value Zone on second floor that will feature a tiangge*-style bazaar is still under the finishing stage and is targeted to be opened by November.

Co stressed that as a new player in Cebu’s booming mall industry, they do not aim to compete with big and identified mall developers and operators as they want to become an alternative shopping destination with its own original trademark.

“We are a new company who is trying to get a new market for itself and not grab on existing nationwide brands. We are just Cebuano entrepreneurs who take the opportunity presented to us and offer Cebuanos a totally different mall atmosphere,” he said.

Parkmall is owned by Golden Great Value Properties, the commercial center company of the Cebu Oversea Hardware Group, one of Cebu’s biggest hardware and do-it-yourself home improvement company.

“We want Parkmall to become a platform for new businesses, new innovation, products and even old products that can be innovated in times of crises to grow. Now is the perfect opportunity where we should innovate on products,” said Co.

He discussed that most tenants in Parkmall are composed of new and existing home-grown local companies who have innovated its products and services to provide something new to the broader A, B, and C segment of the Cebuano market.

Located just across the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC), Parkmall stands at a six hectare total land area with three hectares gross floor area.

Recently, the mall also presented to the public its “Tree of Discovery” located in the focal point of its lobby.

As Parkmall takes pride in fostering and giving local businessmen a chance to take huge first steps towards a brighter future, tree symbolizes new beginnings and a wealth of opportunities for Cebuano entrepreneurs.

“We are trying to shape the market opportunities for young entrepreneurs and future investors and provide them with new markets,” said Co.

Other components of the mall include a park where shoppers can stroll and relax, a Piazza that could be a venue for main mall activities, a Pasalubong Center for food and souvenir items for tourists, and a Gateway Center that will become a hub for shuttle services to and from sea and air ports.

Co said that together with other locators in the North Reclamation Area, Parkmall is also currently negotiating with the local government units and the LTFRB to increase the number of routes passing through the mall.

You can bring long sleeves and socks. You are not obliged to buy. That's what happened in Shangrila Mactan when my kids went there, but that was almost 2 years ago, we used our own. But when my kids played there on the weekend they opened, ok pa. Good thing they havent strictly implemented their long sleeve rule, coz it was spur of the moment on my family's part to go there. Now that they have implemented their ruling, then just bring your own long sleeve.

there will be a bazaar/tiangge-type on the second floor, like Greenhills except that it will showcase mostly Cebu products. it will also have a pasalubong center which might open just in time for Sinulog. you'll enjoy food when you're in Parkmall, lots of great restaurants to choose from.

Went there yesterday for the first time. I like the design. Nice landscaping sa gawas. Wala palang kaayo shops but definitely the place has a big potential.

PierOne Parkmall is full (inside) everyday especially dinner. it's good because the place is comfy and spacious. BUT yet again, if we talk about food quality, PierOne for me is overrated here in Cebu. it's only popular but food is so so. a week after PierOne Parkmall opened, we had dinner with my relatives. my tito's, tita's and my grandma who are very "meticulous" especially when it comes to sea food, they didn't like it at all. Tuna belly is itchy and not fresh, etc. and the funny thing? my uncle got choked up when i told them PierOne is the number 1 grill/bar in Manila. :lol: when we talk about "seafood" lang, it's a far cry from let's say Lai Garden Restaurant. :cool:

but everything else is good enough for me: entertainment, service, ambience, the Beer Tower and pulutan :okay:

not good daw ang ilang food didto oi. Ilang grilled belly morag uling.. nung nagreklamo na me sa order niingon ila chef na mao jud daw na ang pagluto.. hehehe.. mora ka ngakaon ug uling. Amo na lang gisumbong sa tag iya.. da!, gihilam usan lagi ug kasaba ilang chef.
Liman ka na sunog ang sinugba, mao jud daw na ila style sa pagluto.. hahaha, kaon na lang sad me kay mahal ra ba kaayo..

"Pino" an MLhuiller owned resto, occupies the 4 units from the site beside the KFC to the end. Shops to open on the site include three more restaurants, boutiques, travel agency, spa etc.
There are no Jolibee or Mcdo on the site, anyway... hehehe

i saw the cdr-king last weekend, though they havent opened. It looks very big than the other cebu branches, if I am not mistaken, this should be the biggest cdr-king yet. I hope they improve their system. Cdr-king waiting line sucks. Very good business, they should add more manpower to speed up. Sayang ang sales.

Good idea! I'm sure gamay pa ang mamalit diri kay di pa man accessible kaau sa public ang parkmall. At least no need na muadto sa SM or ayala sa mga taga mandaue.

^^ Ang problema ani, basin usa ra pud ka tindera ang ila ibutang, kay gamay pa ang mamalit. Balik na pud ta sa problema gisulti ni sinjin, muabot ug 100 ang waiting line!! Sige, basin duha nga tindera, kay mutabang ang kahera maninda.

I ask the guard, whats on line at the second floor, he quipped, according to his information, it will be a department store. As to who will operate, he did not know yet. Maybe if SM is interested, they might also get second floor for a mini department store.

It is already very evident that the mall has been steadily attracting people especially the middle and the upper class.

hope parkmall could also bring in the camera shops of quiapo next. that would be great! :)

St. Francis Square? cool. so some from Greenhills gyud diay. I wonder if the mall will allow other items to be sold at the second floor such as Pirated DVDs, Pirated CDs, Pirated PC software and games, etc. because I have yet to see them there. ah oo nga, piracy is a crime diay sa? :lol:

Fitness First should closely look the possibility in opening a Branch in Parkmall. I believe they can corner ABC crowd in the area, plus, a ready strategic space for their outlet.
