Valencia, Spain's third city, population 782.846 inhabitants, 1.500.000 in metro area. Though there are dense high/mid-rises areas the city hasn't a good skyline yet, but there are some new towers under construction wich soon will be added to the urban landscape.

For a Eurpean City, that skyline rocks!

It has many near 100 metre buildings so It has a decent skyline, and not many other Spanish cities can say that.

I visited Valencia 2-3 years ago. I liked it. I think it's an underated city. I really like the way they diverted the river, and turned the old riverbed into a park with an opera house (and further down river, a futuristic science city). It's got a nice old town, and a nice seafront, which is lined Paella restaurants (yum yum).

There is an approved plan, the PAI del Grau, which includes the construction of 7 buildings over 100 meters, among which are two of about 200 meters, all near the City of Arts and Sciences and the port of Valencia. At the same time, one project, which once approved, designed by architect Santiago Calatrava, which includes the construction of three skyscrapers, 310, 260 and 220 meters, next to the above, and is in currently seeking funding. When all these projects are carried out, Valencia has one of the best skylines in Europe, no doubt.
